| for me, its definitely the 1 hybrid.
i was playing with some new friends and i was using the cleveland 1i to tee off.
can go abt 200m to 210m. very controlled. my mates drove longer den me.
yet we all reach the green with the same number of strokes many times. some holes i even reach earlier as it doesnt stray.
3 wood, even off the tee, may stray. distance diff perhaps just 20m-30m diff.
my mates ended cursing and swearing and i earned their respect.
hey im a newbi golfer!!! |

Bro, I love the Cleveland Launcher hybrids. My 3H 20.5˚ launcher is my absolute life-saver. I've not tried the 1H but may give it a go _________________ "A ball will always come to rest halfway down a hill, unless there is sand or water at the bottom." Henry Beard

I assume you are talking about par5s?
If distance is more than 210m to the green or I get unfavourable lie, I would lay up to 100m and attack from there.
Otherwise, I would use either my 13° wood or 2i hybrid 18.0° or 4i 23.0° to go for the green._________________ WIMBDonate today to itchrous backsidous syndrome sufferers. PM me for donation details. |

| on average par 5 of 480m, if cant drive 260m, it's quite impossible to go for 2 on... so far, i have yet to try 2 on for any par 5 yet.... |

| most people who can drive 240m-260m and have a good mastery of long irons and hybrids may be able to 2 on. |

after 310m drive still need 3W? wow how long is the par 5? i play with a few long hitter b4... avr 270m they need only a 5W and sometimes iron for shorter par 5... i can only envy n dream one corner..... |

| i think airforce or navy there is a very long par 5.
left is OB and right is H2O.
the hole that is quite narrow with trees guarding the green all the way on the left |

It is actually more complicated than that. I also take pin position, length of green and wind into factor as well..._________________ WIMBDonate today to itchrous backsidous syndrome sufferers. PM me for donation details. |

Who uses a 15 deg hybrid in replacement of the 3 wood?
cheers |
Hi bro, im using a Cleveland Hibore 16 deg 1i instead of 3 wd. Mainly to tee off for tight fairways, 2nd shots for par 5s at times, rescue in roughs, low punch shots, chip n run, etc..basically most versatile club in my bag. |

Not true. I suck at my 3 and 4 irons. That is why I am carrying hybrids._________________ WIMBDonate today to itchrous backsidous syndrome sufferers. PM me for donation details. |
