| As you can see, putting is not only an art, its also a science that many either are not aware of or just don't pay enough attention to.
Concentrate on this aspect of your game and your scores will take a turn for the better. |

| I was contemplating a visit to a pro too, just that obviously he would not have various models for me to try out while he sees to my putting stroke...so I thought, it would be great if there is some place that can get both the technique corrected & identified and equipment matched at the same time...much like the club fitting station Perhaps I should first go to a pro for technique, then DGman's for fitting specs, then retail shop for the putter... |

| I have not seen putter fitting at Big Fish but I have seen it at Mark Higgs's. Pretty impressive stuff as he would use video technology to see how you contact the ball, lie, face angle etc Mark has an interesting putting surface too as you walk in the shop.
You could look at Phil Mickelsen's DVD where he talks about forward press, training aid (putting plate & laser), hitting down, hitting up......interesting segment on putting. |

No putter can fix a faulty stroke. It might minimise the fault at hand with a higher MOI for off centre rolls but thats just about it.

i like that Rex....hopefully we will have the SAM when you come back next.
A lot of golfers think that if they buy whatever they see on TV, they will putt well. Most professional golfers practice hours each day on the putting green. It is the most significant part of the game and it is what separate the guys on the Nationawide and PGA tour.
Padraig Harrington is a golfer who have found the benefit of using SAM both in his lessons as well as his fitting.

| I've used SAM putt lab and it is one of the best things man has created! Unfortunately I don't have access to one. Looks like I'll be dropping by DGman's den pretty often in the future if he gets one |

| hellos Justin....we will not be getting the SAM.... we will be using the break 30 with SAM Putt Lab, its a proprietary training and fitting solution that's owned by Zen Oracle UK. check this out: Break 30so that will explain why uncle got to go to Sheffield in the summer then get the system in place. | DGman..my lovely wife bought me a scotty studio select as a surprise , the center shafted one. But she bought off the shelf, it hasnt been fitted to me. Can this putter be bent for lie? or should I go back to the shop and replace with ones with longer neck? also, I like to forward press, and swing on arc. Is a center shafted putter (no offset) suitable for this style (generally speaking)? note: I dont dare to try my putter in case got to return it. I'll come for a fitting with u soon. thanks! |

| yes, not straight back and straight thru, my misses are mainly pushes, swung inside and continue straight (not coming bank inside again on follow thru). If i could just slice my putter, I'd stay true to my nick |
