Very unorthodox! His swing is so much like ours, we also got hope of turning pro. Look how stretched out above his head his arms are, so much so that he is practically smelling his left armpit. Also check out his incredible shaft flex and the bent left arm at impact! His swing is so long from backswing to followthrough, it took that much more pics to see all the interesting positions.

Thats a swing only his mummy will love.

Then again, it helps him win some serious dough so who am I to judge???

hahah it looks like he's strangling himself on the follow through! but if it ain't broke, don't fix it! Very Happy
but he's really got some seriously floppy arms. and birdman you were right abt the shaft flex.. his driver shaft looks a lot longer too!

what was that about!?

that totally blows away all talks of swinging properly, or even any so called swing methodology. at the end of the day, it's getting the ball into the hole that counts, and this guy probably has it down pat.

Dun forget these guys play and practice on a daily basis so they can get away with compensations and timing.

The rest of us just dun practice enuff.

yeah, but i think this would just be the ideal thing to show people who tend to argue about how to swing the golf club, "too flat" "too steep" blah blah blah.

end of the day, it's the hitting that counts. this guy totally has everything going wrong, overswing, chicken wing, etc. but he's playing on tour, and making some good money for himself.

Well, its 1 'Thaworn' against the rest of the world. Our built, height and flexibility is not the same as him. Show me 10 or 20 of people like him doing the same thing then we can argue substantially.

ok, i can't argue substantially. neither do i want to.

my point is just that we shouldn't be too caught up with swing details when sometimes we are able to swing comfortably and hit the ball.

Let us not forget this guy is a great scrambler with a very nice putting touch. Gets up and down like no one else when that swing of his does break down. He knows how to make up for his swing deficiencies with his short game.

Ironfist, I suspect he's using a high torque longer shaft to make up for his chicken wing swing.

This is really interesting. I am just starting out and try to do everything right. The arms, twisting upper body only, head still . . . yet 1/2 the time cannot hit.

Many of my friend, reach the range, setup adress less than 2 seconds, arms all oves the place, legs totally str8, looks like chopping wood when they swing . . in a nutshell, everything the golf coach says dun do, they do.

Yet . . . . .straight . . . and good distance . . .

haiz . . .

So much for "keep your left arm straight" Smile I dislike his swing but if it works, why not? Diff stroke for diff folks.

The bottom line is he trusts his swing, and he repeats it.

Everyone can learn a lot from that. If the majority hit a bad shot the first thing they do is try and make a swing adjustment, then it only gets worse.

Make your adjustments on the range, when you get to the course trust what you have been working on!
