Don't think the two are fair comparisons.

To me, the i15 seem to be real GI clubs, big head, very forgiving. Feels excellent for a cast club. The dots are just terms used by Ping for certain specifications, eg 2 deg flat/upright, not really confusing, and no need for anyone to actually know what they all mean.

JPX Pro is really the middle ground between GI and blades. I thought it was quite forgiving too, in that mishits weren't punished very badly. Feel is naturally good since it is forged, but nothing compared to the MP53 or 63. Seem to be slightly longer too, probably gained 5 yards or so compared to my current MP52.

It really boils down to what you're looking for. Both brands allow some form of fitting before purchasing. Overall, I think the JPX Pro is the better option of the two. But if you intend to get the JPX Pro, then i would recommend the MX300 or even the Bridgestone J38 DPC instead. Same performance, but at a big discount since it's an older model.

Bro solarpop,

i15 head size is actually player's club size. It is smaller than cally xforged 07 and tm tp forged, but it is forgiving.

I was considering bstone's j38 dpc and i15 for long time and decided to buy i15 bcoz i didnt have chance to test j38 (not avail here). Any reviews? Did u try with diff shafts?

pushslice,

I guess i'm used to looking at my MP52.. but the i15 really did look big to me. Maybe not so much heel to toe, but vertically.

I bought my j38 DPC without even trying them coz i found a set really cheap. The heads are slightly bigger than the 52s, and are quite forgiving. Feel is excellent. I repeat, EXCELLENT. On good hits, i can't tell the difference between the the j38 and mp52. On poor hits, the j38s are not as harsh. Initially i had no intention of keeping this set, just wanted to try for fun then sell. After a couple of range sessions comparing the two sets, i realized by chance that the longer irons filled out my distance gaps better in the j38 so now i'm using a mixed set as shown in my sig. Reason i'm not using the j38 for shorter irons is that those do look a little too big for my liking, not that they do not perform. It comes stock with PX shafts, which i've been using for the past 2 years and am pretty comfortable with. No experience with the j38 in other shafts.

I think bridgestone makes some excellent stuff, and are grossly underrated. They don't hold their value at all, which makes it a super good deal for people like me who are perfectly fine with using second hand golf equipment.

Not to poison you, but after trying the i15, there was nothing about it that made me want to try it again. I've tried practically everything that has been released in the past year, and nothing has made me want to replace the MP52, until i had the J38. Smile
