IMO :

Very easy and forgiving to use - Adam OS hybrid (any model like A4 or ..) but little feedback

TM hybrids (various models) - considered better than average

Cleveland hybrid - one of my favourite beside Adams but recent design not so nice (compared to other new models)

THP had previously done a Hybrid shootout. While this is from 2009, the information is still good and the recommendations etc make sense Smile

go try the 910H with a setting of B1. I realise most hybrids are abit upright for us Asians. I dunno cos I am not that tall. but so far its the only hybrid that i can hit it straight. the rest of the hybrids is either pull, hook, draw or snap hooks.

Got to see how the club is constructed too. Some u need to play like fairway wood, some you need to strike it like irons.

Hmm, hybrid, my favourite topic of the moment.

The Adams pro black hybrid is working out very well for me.

Just played my best round ever, using the Pro Black from the tee a few times to get me safely past the doglegs at around the 200-210m mark.

Not the easiest club to hit, I had to further fine-tune my swing to hit it properly, which meant all my clubs benefited as well. As a result, just shot my best round ever today.

Adams established their reputations on their hybrids - it's their bread and butter. Now I appreciate why.

Looking forward to getting my hands on their recently-released A12 hybrid.

must get a decent shaft...most hybrid stock shafts are horrible, especially TM shafts.

How can one swing with a 55/60 gram shaft when its suppose to replace your irons with steel shaft. Get the 85 or 105 gram shafts.

Absolutely, very good point.

I bought the head and shaft separately.

Shaft is 88g. Can't handle 105g at the moment.

The lighter standard shaft helps with getting the ball in the air. By the same token, it is not as stable through impact compared with a heavier shaft, and therefore, dispersion will not be as tight.

Just some suggest TS,

If you are a iron hitting and your woods are some left and right kind, buy a cobra Baffler Rail H change the shaft to an NS Pro the lie will be upright and feels like iron,

if you are more or a woods person baseball kind of swing you should try out Callaway RAZR X.

needless to say the above are some of the new hybrid i tried the RAZR X Yesterday (in the US on business trip now)

Personnel at the moment i am using the taylormade mid Rescue now which is quite ok to get me out of thick and long grass area.

I like the Cobra bafflers (DWS and TWS), their stock Aldila shafts work very well for me. I also have the Adams A4, before that the A2, they are very forgiving clubs. And the hibore was long when tried at driving range. Callies and TM burners are always forgiving, but did not give me the same length off their 3h vs the clevelands and adams and cobras. Of course must add that I old man playing in the mid 80s so hybrids are the best innovation for me.

I got myself the A12 18* with Altus stiff just to try.. honestly it's seriously good. Brainless to use - just swing it and you'll be shooting lasers. Face feels very hot, impact sound and feel are amazing. White Altus shaft too chio to describe. This is the first adams hybrid i've ever tried, and i'm definitely a convert. Gonna get myself the 23* next and hope it doesn't balloon like all the other 4 hybrids i've ever had.

Which will you recommend Adams A12 Hybrid 18* / Matrix Ozik Altus or Adams V3 Hybrid? I need something easy to play

Like i mentioned earlier, the A12 is the first adams hybrid i've ever tried so can't really comment. From what i've seen though, the V3 is closer to a wood than an iron while the reverse is true for the A12. Boils down to personal preference i guess. Personally, the shape of the A12 suits my eye better, and i think it is super forgiving already. Not sure how much easier it can get..

think it boils down to how good is your swing? May I know your handicap? By the way, A12 is more expensive than V3?

i have a cleveland launcher 3h (20.5deg) and i agree that it is an amazing club. i also have a tm burner superfast rescue 3h (18deg), and it is one extremely forgiving club. it gives a really high ball flight (too high, perhaps, and higher than any other club in my bag) so if you need some help getting the ball up, i would recommend this, otherwise, it's not such a good idea cos you might end up losing some distance.

So my Adams A12 hybrid 20 degree finally arrived.

And it is gorgeous...

Shafted with same Graphite Design Tour AD DI Hybrid 85 S shaft, I have just come back from the driving range getting to know this club and enjoying it.

Nice high ball flight, forgiving yet controllable, a friendlier version of the Pro Black. Very nice to hit, yet not brainlessly forgiving to the point of numbness, i.e. it takes off easily enough, while at the same time, the better the swing, the more precision and workability you will get out of it.

I LIKE it.

luv burner 2008 be it FW or hybrid. easy and luv the sounds of it when you hit 'em.

i tried titty 910 FW and hybrid, and never look back. the sound gets even better. Giv me the confidence before and after the shot, although when i hooked and sliced it (LOL).

titty 910 is the way to go for now. luv it, try it.
