Duff, no Bian petrol on the rise. Need to save here and there.
Car is always thirsty, maybe should change to something like your car.

Duff, you must be joking. Mowen gave me 5-5 and still lose to him. How to win $ on golf.
I lose to Mowen and Alexbk during my last golf game.

Hi Daniel, dun worry about pricing too much.
Think reasonable.

More impt to get your grips done up properly , especially to your liking of the feel you like and size of grip.

No point saving here and there and then end up with lousy grips which need to be re-done again.

If it helps, Wizgolf and Big Fish carry a wide array of grips. Do visit either of them to look see look see....

Enjoy.

There is a limit to how cheap and "good" you want to go.

Your grips are your only contact with the clubs, it's not wise to skimp on them. They're rubber compounds, meaning they degrade with time and become hard and /or slippery.

And what happens then?

More harsh vibrations transmitted to the hands on bad shots - tennis elbow and tendonitis.

Gripping harder so the club won't slip - all kinds of swing and shot nightmares, not to mention loss of grip in rainy conditions.

I learnt my lesson (took me a few lessons) when I played with hardened gloves and slippery grips. Twice my driver slipped out of my hands and flew into a palm tree. Once at Tanjong Puteri's C course par 3 on a rainy day, my ball flew straight, followed by my 7 iron flying left into the pond to disappear from sight. It was funny when it happened, not so funny when I next needed the club.

Even if you are able to hold on to your grip, the club has a very high tendency to twist in your hands on impact, especially on any shot outside of the sweet spot.

Also, a good craftsman in any trade proud of his workmanship, do you think he will charge very low? Would you put your faith in a lawyer who charged peanuts?

Anyone and everyone can change grips, but are the grips installed well and aligned properly?

Finally, you wouldn't risk your life for cheap and "good" tyres right?

So think about it, if it is worth going too low for your grips.

you spend hundreds if not thousands for a set of irons or a club, and you wanna scrimp on one of the most basic thing that connects you to the club...

i dont get it.

Or you can try Vinc Golf at Far East Shopping Centre, level 2. Can't miss them, speak to Henry. They've got a good variety of quality grips at reasonable prices. Best part is, you got so many golf shops to see while you wait for your grips to be done. And Orchard Rd is just outside. Very Happy

I'd advise to wise it up a tad. You ain't looking for a cheap and good plate of Chicken Rice for
cryin' out loud. These are your Golf Clubs. Do it RIGHT!

Or you can fall into the tight wad trap of:

Grips are lasting mah... maybe change every 6 months if you are not those "hiao" type. So seriously, its cheaper as compare to golf balls. Smile

Let me just summarize the market rates for regripping in Singapore and let you decide.

For example: Golf Pride Tour Wrap(White/Black) with regriping will cost:

1. My Golf Shop - Tradehub 21 Jurong ($10)
2. Wiz Golf - Ang Mo Kio ($10.80)
3. Vinc Golf - Far East ($18 last quoted to me by Hendry)
4. Greenfield - Far East ($12)

Not sure the rest of places, but I find tradehub and wiz golf are reasonably priced for doing regripping. So far their workmanship is acceptable to me.
