golfoooo, your wife and fren may want to go for a free trial session with yc law first, to see if they are comfortable with / persuaded by his style of teaching. he offers that. i believe it's also stated on his website.

i had my free trial with him and i didnt find him particularly interested / helpful. Maybe he was having a rough day. but anyhow, i think it'd be good to just have a free trial first before deciding.

You can try daniel chang @ hp: 9853 3613. he is located at the basement of bishan range. I had taken lesson from him with my wife from PC to handicap then to advance..... four years ago. My experience with him has been great. You can quote my name, thomas and cora. We still have occassional golf with him even though our lesson has ended.

Have taken lesson from a certain coach from Bishan and Sin Ming as well and I discourage anyone from going there.

Cheap but you get what you pay for...

so choose wisely!

harimau, that might be a bit harsh la. i think there will be good and bad coaches, wherever u go. just need to do some research before signing up, and don't simply accept whoever is assigned

I agree with Scotty. You cannot judge the quality of all the golf coaches at one range just because of bad experience with one coach. As mentioned, cheap lessons are cheap for a reason.

I have taken classes with mr law in the past. He's a good guy, patient and very willing to impart his knowledge. Not one of those who hides in the air con room and then comes out occasionally to adjust your swing/posture, highly recommend!!

My coach is now coaching in Bishan. His name is Malek Talib. He was coaching at MBGC.. and there were some great reviews about him (you may google this). After MBGC, he was free-lancing and now he's with Bishan. You may want to consider him. His strength is in short game.. he is good in imparting bunker shots, pitching, etc.

Let me know if you want his contact.

My wife and her friend started their lesson at Bishan last weekends and i was there with them. Mr Law teaching is quite good, both of them can hit about 60-70m on their 1st lesson! Very Happy

He also commented on my swing, he suggested i could improve my swing plane and after that my swing seem easier and more efficient. Need to keep up else agnes might be right!
