| Pebble Beach green fee is USD$500 (~SGD620). Of course you'd have to take a flight there... but apple for apple, which would you play? |

| I dun think this is the green fee. The course is currently not open to public yet. So I dunno where the $700 rumour come from.
So far, it is only open to public once during CNY and I do not think its $700. Any Laguna member can clarify? DGMan? |

| 7 hundy is quite a bit of scratch to play for a golf course..
I might consider it for Augusta...but that would be it. And to be honest I am not sure I would pay that to play. There are so many great courses that are available for a fraction of the price. Just seems silly to outlay that kind of cash to play a place. At the end of the day it is golf and while I agree the experience is part of the value the ability to play 5 rounds instead of 1 for 7 hundy would maybe sway me in a different direction.
Unless it was Augusta or some place that was impossible to get on...7 hundy is just outrageous.

it was open to public during the CNY period and the green fees was $727 inclusive of GST this is a fact cos i was considering playing with DGman and he told me that was the price for non-members... |

| Even in my most keen state, i find it difficult to justified the $700 plus green fee during the CNY break.
At $30 inclusive of buggy fee for members, one have to be very fit to play that course. they have 8 flights in the am and 8 flights in the pm tee-off schedule. needless to say, it is in much better state than Masters. Greens are tricky and can be fast. its like Warren and Serapong roll into one.
What i think about the World Classic? its a great track but the condition that i played 2 months back was not anywhere near Serapong. however it is set up differently and i rate it as a fair course which is visually very challenging and no other course in Singapore is set up the same.
$700 is still too much to pay for a round IMHO plus its still not open to the public.
DGman
but if one wants to see pros shoot 90, single handicapper shoot 100, this is the course....so some say.
