bought a R7 3wood with a TM TP Diamana BlueBoard 63 S flex shaft from a forumer here and it was gold..straighter, more boring and longer than my Driver. Best $100 spent.

Now itchy backside looking for a similar shaft for my driver, looked up the forums and got opinion the TM TP Diamana Blueboard is not the real stuff (i dont care cause it just nice for me). Also tried a friend's Nike 5000 with Diamana blueboard, also a S flex 63 (bought from the old Nike shop at Enterprise One) it was different feeling. The TM TP shaft a but softer (good cause i am using R flex)

How to check cause very itchy backside now, already trolling Ebay for a BB shaft, dont want to spend US$100++ and find its not the same. The TM TP BB is not easy to find.

I was a staff professional with Taylor Made and most all of my gear came from the tour department and every TP shaft that I ever received was the real deal with TM graphics.

There are many people out there who don't think they are actually the real shaft, but from all of my research throughout the message boards (including emails from Mitsubishi Rayon Co.), and my experience with TM as a staff player, those shafts are indeed the real deal, and subsequently, if real TM TP shafts, some of the best deals going on shaft pulls.

They may play different based on hosel depth or tip cutting, etc as they are set up for the TM heads, but the bottom line is the .335 tip TM TP graphics shafts are legit if they are from TM.

The Diamana BB was offered with the R5 TP and R7 TP and they used to come in the driver for the R5 and the fairway woods for the R7 TP. These are Japanese versions.

As the R7 TP FW was never brought in to Singapore during the launch but at a much later date by the defunct GN, many of those in the market came with the US Specs which was a speeder shaft.

i have not seen any in the 63Xct specs for driver but only for fw. when its in the driver, its usually a much heavier shaft like a 83Xct which was not popular. i am very sure we have some in fw and even hybrid but unlikely to have them in a length long enough to use on a driver.

hope this helps......DGman

except for those built for the tour, i wanna to say the those on the retail R7 TP is about 70% close to the aftermarket version. you can tell by the sticker on the butt after you remove the grip.

thanks for the info. Was wondering why only 83xct for drivers on Ebay, which btw is also not cheap.

From my experience, the Taylormade TP Diamamas are re-graphiced but a genuine US spec Diamana. I used to fit shafts in the US, so had some experience there.

The Nike, "Specially designed for Titleist" etc are not the same "so-called genuine" shaft but are all good shafts... not bad, but different.

The future "Rombax" technology in the newer clubs Tps and the non-TPs are all made specifically for TM.

The 83xct , if they have the TP graphics, were the standard shaft for US spec R5 TP.
