playing around Ebay and 'accidentally' won an item. Item is cheap but the shipping cost is almost the same as item.

I have an account with VPost. Has any1 use Vpost before. Will the cost be more expensive since i also need to pay the local shipment?

Depends on the item, I used to use vpost, but due to worst service in the world I changed.

A driver from USA to Sing is around $56 sgd.

play play put bids and won a 8.5 Sumo 5900 Shocked from 3balls. was trying for the 9015D but itchy hand bid on 70++ other items (think i got a problem).

If Vpost is really terrible, may bid for a few hybrids and some LH hybrids for a friend to soften the shipping cost from 3balls....unless i win some other clubs other vendors pale .

Good thing is they have never ending supply of golf clubs. everyday for new batch of stuff.

at least i got a 8.5 driver to play play....

If you're getting from 3balls, better to just use their Fedex delivery service. It's cheaper than vpost usa, and super fast delivery. Expect arrival of your items within 3-4 days. Vpost wait minimum 2 weeks. Combined shipping definitely makes sense.

Only use vpost when you need to buy from someone (or a website) that does not deliver to Sg. Take note though, that most sellers on ebay will only deliver to the address that is registered with your paypal, which means they won't send the package through vpost. This has got to do with seller protection.

Hope this helps

3balls direct fedex think was only US$39.99, fast and dependable.

vpostusa charged me S$40 for my last driver, over and above the US postage by the seller... comes up to be about the same, but the speed and responsiveness sucks.

thanks 4 the replies. Decided not to risk it and go with 3balls shipping now that i 'accidentally' win 4 more items (good thing i got 1 item that i really wanted to offset the some of crap items...did not knw what i was thinking). Total shipping is US$70 Sad

after almost 90 bids in the last 3 days, finally almost come to an end.....unless that SC Red X3 goes for $22 and S9-1 Pro Cobra goes for $140 and a couple of $5 hybrids..... pale

need to go cold turkey liao......cannot afford to play play at Ebay liao.

Now need to sell some of my existing items to recover cost, thinking of going down to Creative Golf

did some research, found that Vpost has some horror stories, with ppl losing thousands of dollars worth of goods

Anybody has ever lost their items at Vpost Oregon warehouse? What if the courier company that sent the parcel to Vpost @ Oregon has proof of delivery, and yet it was lost at Vpost Oregon warehouse, will Vpost responsible for it?

Please advice if anyone has such encounter?

Thanks in advance!

cheers

When you declare lost, they will ask for receipt of purchase and delivery notice/tracking number. Take 3 days to respond on whether they can find it.

If it is really their fault, they will refund only the purchase price of the lost item. No shipping or compensation for time lost etc. and exchange rate is per Singpost  and it is not negotiable... Had a bad experience with them, do not recommend using them

Fortunately they did not lose my goods ... It is good to email Vpost the Merchant invoice for them to trace speedily if your goods arrived at the Oregon warehouse and yet not reflected on your Vpost account ... I realized that for bulky item, there is not much saving ... I have bought a Titleist Standbag and realized that the saving is zero when courier directly versus thru VPost even though the standbag is very light. Moreover, lead time is a few days longer for Vpost. The only advantage for me is I can collect the goods at my leisure within one week at the Post Office of my choice ... I am not at home most of the time to have it shipped to my doorstep ... I am surprised that the shipment duration from Oregon, USA to Sg is about 4 days only.

This is my 5th transaction with them, and I must honestly say, so far so good ... Of course there is still some rooms for improvement. No one is perfect afterall ... Smile

Agree that there is nothing to complain about - when they work, they are good... Albeit slightly more expensive that I would expect.

Haven't used them since they lost my item, but hope they have improved... Found a lot of complaints about them online

Give comgateway a shot? was using vpost initially then swapped over to comgateway due to citiglobeshopper.

More user friendly online platform.
delivery is prompt, can consolidate items etc.
No complains and very happy with the service.

I do not have long history of experience with Vpost ... Only this year I started to ship via Vpost ... So far no complain for my 5 transactions with them ... However, if one calls the Vpost Hotline to speak with the Vpost Customer Service Officer, it can be a dread! Sing Post makes you listen to a whole lot of boring advertisements before you could have a chance to speak with the Customer Officer ... Sometime during peak season, you have to leave your number behind for them to call you back because all Customer Officers were engaged (not sure how many Officers on duty at any one time) Rolling Eyes  ... I guess this is the only complain I have against them ... Smile
