| Seriously, is there a better name than this for a golf-theme fun park? We decided to try out one of the courses today as the rate is cheap now due to the summer heat. We played the Ryder course which was the friendliest one of the 3 so that both of us can enjoy. Everything from the drive up was golf-related. I think I'm in heaven: Can there be a more apt road name? Practice facilities: Balls are complimentary with the green fees. Practice greens are HUGE!!!!.....and there are 3 of them! Getting ready to tee off: 1st Hole of the Ryder Course: All 439yds of it from the tips: How innovative can Americans be? Small mirrors drilled into the flagstick to aid those using laser rangefinders to pick up the target easier. Brilliant!!!! Those small mirrors up close: Some weird birds. They are in abundance here: Here's the link for the place. Great place for a golf vacation this side of the world: PGA Village, St. Lucie

| Thats how it is on these courses now in summer. Come winter, it will be a different story.
Here are the golf rates. I'm definitely squeezing in time to play the other 2 courses before the end of the month: Golfing rates
These rates double or triple in the winter months cos all the snowbirds flock here to escape from their northern states in winter. |

| Great pixs. Summer in Florida is as hot & humid as SEA, and most 'snow birds' from above the Mason-Dixon Line cannot tolerate such tropical-like temperatures. Texas, Arizona and Nevada golf courses like that also in summer--actually get over 110 degrees F sometimes with very little humidity and being outside for more than 30 minutes can be fatal. It like turning on an oven and standing near the open door. That's why not many other golfers as S70B said. Disney World Orlando, Fla has some great golf courses also. Makes me a bit home sick (cheap and good golf in America). But the women are generally prettier in Asia. CK |
