This 1st original super stroke is too big too heavy
The grip inner diameter is bigger than the putter shaft.
So u are provided with 2 sharp end screw.
For u to lock the grip onto the shaft, but it will damage
The shaft.

Not to sure about the latest model.
Which is smaller and lighter.

OK, i changed my grip and i decided to go for this. I was truly surprised. The grip is not as heavy as I thought. I choose the lite version and it feel pretty good. Its not hard to get used to it. I did my mine at vinc golf in far east. Observations, i stop jabbing my putting strokes and pulling my putts. Interesting that a simple size change can actually helps.

One thing to, the grip feel Styrofoam-ish... if you are used to rubber texture, them you might not like this. Feel department is a bit muted...still need to work on the grip and get used the butt to be smaller.

I have to admit outright that I use to be a non-believe in sausage grips and in fact, I am anti big grip and this is because I am for one a person that need to feel my stroke and experience the strike. This change kinda gives me a difference view of the grip. And not forgetting, the sausage size and weight/feel may change the feel of your putter.

It may or may not work for you. What work for one doesnt work for others. Never try, never know.

Slicer51,

Sorry didnt check on this post until now. This is my 1st time to use a round grip on a Putter. I am liking it. Its really helping me to be confident with my strokes and less jittery. Plus the size of grip really helps in sinking and control of the strokes.

I've got the super big version but lite, been using for about 5 rounds. I'm still feel I'm not sure about it, might change back... Or maybe try mid size..

Guys
I am bringing this thread back up. I know apart from the above guys, I learn from my The Claw thread that eiji also uses a superstroke. Who else here games a Superstroke grip?

I'm really toying on the idea of a Superstroke, but not sure which one to go for
- Fatso (85g)
- Slim Lite (55g)
- Ultra Lite (65g)

How did you guys make your decision which one to choose? I intend to put it in my Scotty 2012 Notchback. I'm leaning towards the Slim Lite, but wonder if the Ultra Lite will work too?

Does it last in our humid climate (I'll never go near another Winn grip for that reason!)

I read on GolfWRX that for the SuperStroke, because the end of the grip nearer the shaft is not tapered, it tends to get in the way when pulling the putter in and out of the bag - you guys experienced this problem?

Thanks

Don't worry so much about the weights, try the different sizes and pick the one which suits you, you can always add leadtape or change the scotty weights to get back the same swing weight.

I can't comment on how long they would last, I've only had mine for 2 weeks.

I think pulling in and out of the bag depends pretty much what kind of bag you have, due the larger size of my grip, its harder to take it out but that doesn't really bother me. I am putting a lot better with this grip which is more important to me.

Hi bro i know this doesn't answer your question, but i think u simply need to try it out for uself. it's a very personal feel / preference thing

from my experience, i've tried the fatso (light weight version). But i found that it completely killed my feel, even though it weighed the same as my original grip.

i recently installed the superstroke ultra slim splash grip on my newport detour. going to try it out tomorrow. but so far, using it on the putting mat, it's quite promising. mainly cos it doesn't compromise on feel, like the fatso did for me.

finally, u may also wish to consider the 2 thumb (lite) putter grip. a popular way of using it is to flip it and install it on its side. ie the front of the grip actually faces either left or right of your swing path. i've tried this on my odyssey black series #7 and it feels great. im not sure if it'd work with the claw grip though
