Denmeister, just to be sure, that 50rm is for one caddie per person or also when caddie takes more than 1 person (ie 1 caddy 2 person - so it's 100rm for that one).

Norm.. is that each golfer pay rm50 . Therefor, if 1 caddy carry 2 bags, then it rm 100 for him or more...

Yes that's correct

Best way is to insist requesting 1 caddie for each bag. if they still give shared caddie. only pay RM40 each or less. Don't pay RM50 pls.

wangph, this is the way it's always been with the club. RM10 may be small to you, but i think we should give the caddies the respect they deserve cuz it's damn hard work that they do... Whether my caddy carries one bag or two or three, i will still give RM50 or more.

This is not abt respect bro. This is abt fairness. One caddie will never be able to serve 2 golfers in time with good service. Ended up we got pushed by flights behind. You tip same amount to shares caddie, then every caddie wants to carry 2 bags for double $$. It's not fair for other caddie who focus on one golfer and good service. I rather to tip rm60/70 if the caddie is dedicated.

In Royal Johor (Now known simply as Johor Golf Club because past Sultan's son is not interested in golf), never ask for experienced caddie. There asking price is Rm100 and above unless you are willing to pay that amount.

I have not visited that place for the past 1 year or so but have not really experience anything mentioned by some bros above. Maybe I am lucky. One caddie who is an Indian old man (he really put golfers younger than him to shame with his physical ability to carry the golf bag and walk the hilly 18 holes without beating a sweat) is really good. His tips around and on the green is accurate and to the point. I was lucky to have him on my bag 3 times.

Normal tips range from Rm40 to Rm60. I usually give him Rm60.

Cheers!

Hi, we have played there yesterday. It is the first time play there. After a few times rain brake, finally finished 18 holes before tollay dark. We have paid each RM84.85 at counter, it is clear showed include caddie and green fee, but someone told us we still need pay each of them for RM50.00 It is correct?

Thanks!

The rm85.00 is only for green fees. You need to tip the caddie separately. Yes, rm50.00 is reasonable.

SPOT ON!!!! i insist all my guests pay min of 50rm at rjcc. otherwise pls play somewhere else, or play something else that doesn't require u to pay tips. try carrying ur own bag for 18 holes.

If its trolley or carry and the caddies drag it all through 18h, then rm50 ok.

In MY, the KL folks that plays with shared caddy (on buggy) is only normally rm40 per buggy.

I used a 64 year old caddy in RJCC. He is a good caddy but I felt very guilty. He was very tired at 16th hole and was exhausted at the 18th.
