Interesting picture i found while surfing GolfWRX...
Maybe i shall go home and "rip" apart my TaylorMade putter so see if the Pure Roll is really an insert.

*This post is not meant to offend any TaylorMade fans*

I saw a program on golf channel few years back, tm wanted to prove or demonstrate that their 'insert' gives a better roll
They got audience to bring their putter and literally pasted their 'insert' on their putter face and hit some putts

I thought those insert / stickers were only used in that demo. I'll be surprised if actual production models also use the insert / sticker...

Hey Pocketace,
I have Facilitated such an event in SG before and Yes the inserts are pasted on using 3M tape only.
The main purpose is to improve the putting feel. Different grades of foam tape is now being used by various manufacturers to create different vibration dampening levels to create a more customizable impact feel.

JonL TK if you do rip any of the TM putter faces out, you will see the same thing. Tape. heh....
