good for you...once you start practicing on the course you will have to pitch or chip or get the ball out of bunker and to putt the ball into the hole.

as such, a (second hand) putter and a sand wedge will be needed soon. Each can be had for $50 or less. Buy these before any other clubs or new apparel.

check out GR's second chance project thread by bro Nrafee for the great value finds.

Haha. Jgoh. You are such an arse. I will be the first and most direct. I think you are a horrible person and I honestly hope that you will find some other forum to sneak ard cos I know I speak for a few more polite ppl here that your attitude and words are neither welcomed nor well liked.

Btw, this is the polite version. Join me for lunch and I will express myself much better.

Not funny! Think of a better topic to chalk up number of posts, please. No Sleep Evil or Very Mad Twisted Evil

hmm... I wonder if there should be a reason for me to chalk up number of post? Would be good if you can enlighten since I am new to this forum.

I thought this is a good place to learn and ask. If it bothers you so much, i shall stop posting to this topic. Thanks to all the nice ppl responded with advises i'd manage to get info on stuff a new learner to golf like me needs to start in a pretty short time.

Cheers!

Welcome and stay in here..some may sound nasty and some may sound rude..but usually it is words taken out of text.. but if you meet the real person, all are actually very nice pple..

Also when you can play well , you can learn Vegas and Bacarrat from Kian...hahahahaha

You better watch out
You better not cry
You better not pout
I'm telling you why
Santa Claus is coming to town
Santa Claus is coming to town
Santa Claus is coming to town

He's making a list,
Checking it twice;
Gonna find out who's naughty or nice.
Santa Claus is coming to town
Santa Claus is coming to town
Santa Claus is coming to town

He sees you when you're sleeping
He knows when you're awake
He knows if you've been bad or good
So be good for goodness sake ......

Haha, Love the simplicity and the fact that you answered your own question in your question.

1.Well... as long as its golf spikes not shoes meant for track.
2.If im not mistaken, the new plastic studs on most golf shoes ensure that you dont mess up the green when you walk on it
3. As long as your shoes are meant for golf, I dont think many Golf courses will kick a fuss

My friend does not like to play on golfshoes... He actually scores below 100 without golfshoes consistently and above 100 with golfshoes... We have done a sample of 20 rounds, so quite reliable. Played 18 holes on MBGC yesterday. First 9 holes without golfshoes, good score, second 9 holes with golfshoes (he was forced to wear by Marshall) bad score.
Has to be a mental issue!

Yup! I used to have a pair from Adidas that looks like that with soft spikes below that I used for golf when travelling. Comes in handy.

Yes, golf shoes are mandatory. Wait for Isetan sale, shoes selling at about $60-80.

Golf shoes and gloves are normally not mandatory unless the marshall see you with a bad swing. This is my personal experience.

It makes good investment sense to purchase a quality pair of shoes ... Just like car tires, the shoes are the only thing in contact with the surface of play ... One needs to be comfy thru' out the 18 holes. In my opinion, styling should be secondary to practicality & comfort when considering shoes ... However, these days people tend to place styling + colour above anything else. If price is no object, go for ECCO or Footjoy ICON (at least) ...
