PostSubject: Recommendations for lower tee for driver (low tee-up height)   Wed Sep 14, 2011 11:36 am

Hi... i usually tee-up my ball pretty low (app 2inches for my driver)

This basically Allows me to control the high trajectory of my ball...

Anyone does the same and using a good tee ?

I was thinking of getting the brush-type of tees... gg pretty cheap...

tks in advance for advise and comments...

I'm using those spring tees by Koviss. So far feels quite durable. Maybe you can check them out. They are selling in ebay and gmarket. Maybe you can do some research Very Happy

I used to tee low, but now I'm experimenting to tee higher and hit up instead of hitting down.

Zero friction 2 3/4 inch tees are durable and have perfect height (for teeing low)

4 yards more tees are even more durable, but they cost more. Great if you never forget to pick up your tees.

@Cristel, sounds like my old problem. I was hitting down on it too much and the tee just crush against the ground and break (or bend in the case of zero friction). However if I sweep the ball, the side effect is the tee will jump out of ground, and launch forward (or sometimes backward).

I think in order to hit low, you should tee higher.

I use the zero friction tees too. Previously my wooden tees would break with each use. But after buying a whole box of zero friction tees, i managed 36 holes using ONE tee! They're unbreakable.

$12.10 from Isetan Shaw house. Don't think need to buy online la, 1 box $12 can use for a lifetime.

Hmm.... I didn't really go and measure how low I tee my tee, but I guess I tee it up a little high?

Usually I just get wooden tees, assuming if I karate chop the tee into clean halves I know the other half is going to decompose naturally and dispose the other half. My caddy and I don't have to hunt like crazy for that piece of plastic.

On the other hand, if its plastic...... OMG~

Anyway, I get the wooden tees for cheap here, a huge packet of 100 or so I pay like 300THB or thereabout. My average usage is like 6 to 8 tees for every 18 hole game. Maybe my swing speed's still pretty low~

Bro, the last time i tee-up high... the ball goes damn high and lands around 160m (180m on a good day)... with my new tee-height, i got 180m on average (max so far was 240m)...

Or maybe it's just a personal thing... Very Happy

It's a physics thing - different swing - different angles - different results.

LOL ... I agree ... u are much more likely to lose the tee before breaking it

I use them for Par 3s as well ... that seems to be the only way to break them for guys with normal swing speeds
