To me, club is just a club. Probably will be discarded after a couple of years or even earlier. A golfing buddy who owes me a good one is more interesting to keep around. I once had a caddy who dropped my scotty onto the buggy track leaving two nicks at the heel and the sweet spot. I could see the fear in her eyes as she apologised to me frantically. I just smiled at her and said such things happened. At the end of the round, she even refused my tip, but I insisted. The look of relief on her face was priceless.

The morale of the story is don't use the latest club and no one will borrow from you. Smile
