Hi andytath,

The Contour shoes will be a good shoe to start with. The midfoot stability from the TPU Stability Bridge in the outsole combined with the extra flexibility of the slip last construction and extra cushioning should help to alleviate stress on the bottom of the foot.

If you are using orthotic, you will want to take note of the thickness of the footbed. If the orthotic is similar in thickness to the footbed being replaced then the fit of the shoe will not be compromised. If you are using full orthotic, the footbed should be removed. The Contour footbed is about 6mm thick throughout.

Keep us posted after you have check out the FJ shoes in shop. We'd be happy to provide further assistance.
