Normally US specs irons, they are about 1 degree upright in lie angle because of the average height. So becareful. But if you are getting forged irons, then no worries, can always get them adjusted with the help of clubfitters.

Hi Duffader,

I am very new to golf so pls pardon my ignorance.

I am getting the S3 Combo set, does the 1 degree upright in lie angle has a very big impact?

i am 175 if it helps?

It might have to some, but to others, it does not matters. Cos its got to do with the swing. But if you are getting the S3 pro combo set, then no worries, you can always adjust it later.

Yes it will cause a problem if it's 1 degree upright.

Adding to what I posted

I think you should used Japanese spec clubs because they are built for us, Asian

Unless you are more than 6foot tall and athletic.

But if you are just a Sunday golfer or recreational Golfer

A Japanese spec clubs would be a better option

From my observation at golf shops, Japanese spec clubs generally have a lighter shaft than an american spec.

Adding on, jap spec shaft seems a little more flex (can bend more) even though both Jap and US shafts say they are "regular"...and I think for jap spec, the length of shaft is also slightly shorter....

Asian la..more "down to earth"

Cheers

A better shop will also stock R, SR and S for Japanese Spec. Personal feel that Japanese SR is about the same as US R.

Also, Japanese torque normally is higher than US torque.
