For driver, i usually tee-up abt half-ball above the centre of the club head at address.

I would like to ask, if one is teeing off with a hybrid or a fairway wood, how high are you supposed to tee-up the ball?

thanks in advance!

Normally I would tee up about 1/4" for fairway wood. I don't use hybrids. Smile

I tee it up about the same height as I do for an iron shot. Of course, it also depends on how much height I'd like the ball to have.

I try to tee up to a position where the ball sits just above the grass...

becos I am not a very solid hybrid and FW hitter....I tee it up slightly higher.....to avoid duffing

better to sky rocket than to duff...

okay got it. thanks guys. so it's similar theory to teeing-up for iron shots - ball very near the grass but if afraid of duffing or want a higher trajectory then tee it up slightly higher.

Hybrid is pretty good to hit thru rough and thus when on closely cut surface (like tee box), I dont tee it or if I do, just above the grass.
