I called up Torgue golf to adjust my Miuras and the fitter told me to just go down cos they have some "foreign club fitter" to adjust for me

So blur blur go down lor

Saw Pushslice and mloy

This bloke adjusted my 7i, 5i, pw and driver

On the flight monitor. My 7i went from 135m (original) to about 165m average

5i went from 158m (original) to about 175m average

Pw went from 106m (original) to about 125m average

Driver went from about 208m (original) to about 235m average

All these on new range balls

I think this is darn disgusting

Let me try on the actual game 2 weeks later after my travels to see if it's really so disgusting!!!!!

Hi golfers,

How does it work?

Does it affect the swing weight? I understand and think that it does. If weights are added at the head or the handle, the swing weight will be affected. If I am not wrong, weights added to the head will increase the swing weight and weights added to the handle will decrease the swing weight e.g. D 2 to D0.

I did brouse through the internet and found that weights are added to the handle sect and the weights can range from 20 to 50 grams or even more. They also will add in counter weights but I'm not sure if they are to counter the swingweight? The overall weight will most definately be increased cos weights are added to it.

Now the touchy touchy part...but no ill intent cos I really like to find out if heavier clubs (cos overall weights are added) but with a softer/lighter swing weight is the way to go in the future?

I mean adding 20 or so grams to the handle sect can affect the swing weight and I suspect it will not just reduce by 1 or 2 swing weight but a lot until it can be in the C category and god forbide, the B category.

What your taughts on it? Do share....

Cheers

Sorry if it is a repeat cos I typed something earlier but somehow it was not posted.

The concept that you have mentioned is used by Heavy Putter.

IMO, you should be more concerned with total weight. Guess the method may help if overall weight is very light and if there is a need to increase weight. However, one then get yourself into fitting/balancing the club to suit one's swing.

Also, you can read Ralph Maltby's views of this issue. Hope it helps.

It's the result bro...we pay much more in aftmarket shaft and latest driver heads for that extra yardages or accuracy or better feel. On the flightscope, i was shown by the fitter of avg extra 10m carry albeit with downwind. While fitting, I saw two pros (one laguna teaching pros and another i think it was andrew welshford from sicc) coming by and raves/ saying very positive feedback to the fitter after they just finished an spga game.

So I got one myself on my old 909d2 and 3W (with stock shaft). This pm game i will test on the course, Lets see if $70 were worth it. Bob is on my flight. If proven on the course, maybe capt bob may give order to get one of these pronto. Laughing

Mate the top is newly lauched in here price is steep if outside Us/Eur market.Unless more service provider is available otherwise near future the price will not drop.Anyway subject to indivdual's choice properly this is a fast method to increase swing effectively in short period.

Nic, its actually $75. But amongst ourselves, we shared a package and it came to $52 each.

I was a skeptic too and went I talked to Stanley abt it, he told me the session is free if I choose not to fit it...but after seeing the results , I thought to myself, 17m gain for $75 ? I've paid more for drivers, shafts etc.
What is $75 for the convenience and result.....

Yeah....its expensive but if it helps struggling golfers who's willing to pay ? We are all aware of their prices on the net..

Many has found the price hard to swallow but till more fitters bring it in, I doubt price is gonna drop...

my 7i distance jumped from 140m average to 168m average on the flightscope..

im not asking for much. if on the actual game, i can get 160m average for my 7i, thats a 20m increase..

can u imagine i got 125m average n my PW? Up from 110m..

im excited to try on the real game...

I have nothing against them, but selling a product thats selling off the internet for 6-13usd for 6-7 times more Evil or Very Mad

I am not doubting that it works, but anytime a company does this I think consumers should be made aware first. a $75 product can have a $52 bulk purchase price, with a base cost of $10-15, add in the overhead costs involve with marketing and fitting, still don't justify the high final retail price. That's my grief here.

For those that feel justified on the price, good on ya, for me, I can afford it and i think the results from a few lf you is very tempting but the thought of being a carrot head just don't sit well.

No offense to anyone, but I will rather bring the product in myself if I want to fit it.

Kinda similar to shaft harmonics that Dgman have shown to us which is much cheaper and easily removed.

That's what all consumers are looking for, competition is good and eventually we benefit. If u wanna bring in I'm sure many of us here will support... Including myself.. I like u dun wanna be carrot head right ?

I still have not tried the system so value for money or not I can only listen to my students opinion. I do know one Pro who removed it. However cost wise I can buy spark plugs for $20 but I have to pay someone $100 to fit them properly.

I would be very surprised if you could just buy off the net, shove them in and expect good results, you need a drill trackman or similar and someone to interpret results. All costs money to do properly.

Stanley from Torque Golf. Typically I refrain from posting on the forum. But felt that there is a need to clarify a few things.

The weights that eiji mentioned are the counter weights. Our fittings include internal weights that are pushed down 7 inches into the shaft. There is a form on the internal weights that can come undone when we pull it back out when testing different weights for customers. And once that happens, we are not longer able to sell them. So we do lose some inventory from there.

Shorthitter, thank you for putting up an important point. Fittings can involve exploring several weight combinations (both internals or counters etc) and this can take some time.

We charge fair price for fitting a customer and after sales support. Hope this clarifies the confusion and put this matter to rest.

If any one has any questions, please email me at sales@torquegolf.com and I will be glad to answer them.

Ok here's what i experienced after first 18 holes

In short, its still the indian but.....

The Good: My misses on driver/wood were not as wide, carry on good shots were just a tad longer (today no roll, rained heavily), the ball launched slightly lower than usual, The 5-6 irons felt more shiok on good shots.

The Bad: clubs felt heavy, my outer right elbows are a bit in pain and fatigued, i think the extra weight on the driver/wood were maybe too much. (stanley, can u help?), 5-6 irons also more difficult to move ball right to left. Just Push shots.

Is it worth it? I'll decidel in 2 months, bcoz i need more sample/reps Very Happy

SH, thanks didnt know andrew welshf already moved Very Happy
