None of them from the first round. It's just a different league.

I checked asiantour 2011 money list. On average they play in 13 tournaments

http://www.asiantour.com/oom.aspx

the top 6 makes 300k to 788K (bef tax)
the next 6 makes 214K to 290K

Top 40 pro makes 93K
Top 80 pro makes 40K
Top 100 pro? A measly 16K

MM said travel expenses as a pro really add up. So take home can be much lower.

Very hard leh. Must really be a top 5 player to make a star athlete income. Bottom feed players struggle lor while, in PGAtour the bottom 125th pro (can still keep card) earns abt the same as No.1 in Asian Tour

If Asia is really the next frontier in golf, Asian Tour management has got very little to show.

hmm... then they have to pay their coaches too right? swing coach, putting coach, mental coach, spiritual coach, fitness coach.. etc.... tough indeed.

anyway, i think the Asian Tour has an increasing number of events with decent prize money esp the co-santioned events (e.g. Barclays Singapore, UBS Hong Kong open, etc). just that the winners are always the non-asian tour players.... so even if there are big money asian tour events, it does not really benefit the asian players. but of course, the sponsors will not be willing to sponsor the big money if at least some of the top european/american names dont play....
