If you play regularly (2-3 times a week) then a couple months will do

Took 10 wks beginner lessons to get a PC. Waited 1 mth to go for theory lesson @ NSRCC. Then another 2 mths to submit 5 18 holes score card to NSRCC. Finally, another 1.5 mths for courtesy rd of golf to get the handicap.

Was it hard to pass the courtesy round? I heard need to score 53 and below which is beyond me now..

You raise a good point - how inconvenient is it actually to go without a handicap in Singapore (or overseas, for that matter)?

I think most golf courses in Singapore accept PC on weekdays

Sorry OT here, what is the earliest possible to get your handicap? I gather from Saints that he plan to get his within 6 months. Thanks...

I believe that earliest possible is how long one takes to submit 5 (18 holes) or 10 (9 holes) scorecards then can apply for handicap and go through courtesy round...

Cool Cool where do you play in Malaysia usually? If you're not particular about your flightmates playing ability, perhaps I can join you next time?
