PostSubject: Ladies irons   Thu Feb 09, 2012 8:57 pm

Any ladies / guys can give suggestions on light clubs for ladies? I've a friend playing to a HC of 8 looking for light clubs. She has only tried the titleist AP1 for ladies but finds it heavy even with graphite.graphite. Any recommendations?

Much thanks,
Joshua

Hi, your friend is welcome to try the TM Burner Superlaunch that I am selling.

I don't mind meeting her at a range and she can try hitting the #7.

Hmm, coe, im afraid she wouldn't want those. More of game improvement / ultra game improvement or even easy cavity backs.

Kenneth: Blades? Shes not going for blades for sure. Unless they have easy cavity backs?

I agree with kenneth and audi..

Yamaha clubs are appropriate for ladies..
If you like thin clubs.. Yamaha is the one to go for..
I like thin and flex clubs..
Also on my wanted lists..

Get her to try it..

P.s: Don't regret after u get her to try it.. for she will love it..

Maruman ladies irons with graphite shafts are very suitable for female ... User-friendly, superlight and not so pricey compares to Yamaha.

hi guys just wondering, are all ladies irons of the same length? my gf is 1.8 and she finds men's graphite too heavy. are there any ladies irons that are longer than normal and still light?

If she is tall..
You can get her to use Taylormade..
Taylormade clubs tend to have long shaft..
she is standing 1.8.. I am sure she can hold Taylormade weight..
usually the most of the gals.. tend to be weaker.. need very light clubs..

Does she has a handicap already?

Taylormade..
They have Ladies set/clubs not long ago..
Now around about 2nd set of ladies clubs produced..

If she is tall, she can carry Taylormade clubs better..
Even if it is heavier than Yamaha, etc..
She will not feel the weight as heavy no matter how weak she is..
In turn.. she may feel that the little heavier weight can have better impact on the hit..
She may even feel the weight carry over as something just right/better than the lighter weight clubs.. She may find the lighter clubs to be too light and in turn cannot feel anything..

The Best is ..
Get her to have a swing to try it herself..
Get her to feel it herself..
Everyone can only advise.. but ultimately she needs to feel/try it for herself..

Don't regret after getting something.. Exclamation Exclamation

club length can be solved with clubfitting. Not too heavy on the wallet either im guessing.

U may wanna try creative Joe.. they hv quite a f ew selection of Japanese ladies clubs. Got for a fren of mine an Ena used set for $250, condition 7/10. She's been using it for past 6 months and she loves them.

At least its not expensive and if she decides not to pick up the sport, won't be too hard on the pocket

sounds like a really good deal u have there Begbie, but i've nvr heard of Ena unfortunately and im guessing my friend will be looking for a set of ultra game improvement set but not blades category kinda clubs. Shes currently using a callaway set of ladies game improvement irons. Been using em for about 4 years?

Thanks for the feedback anyway will keep a lookout for Joe's.

In general, the length difference between male & female clubs is only 0.5 inch. i.e.: 7i, 37" for male, 36.5" for female.

Check out BFG forged irons specially designed for ladies/ juniors. You can get them fitted with the right shaft, length, loft, lie and even choose your favorite color grips to match. Save time hunting for the right set ... Go see DGman @ BFG !

Cheers,
