How to hit further than ever before - Step by step instructions

1. Watch this video.

2. Do the flexibility tests.

3. Find out which part of your body is less flexible than the rest.

4. Go to the Titleist Performance Institute website, search for the flexibility exercises for the relevant bodypart.

5. Do the exercises regularly to improve your flexibility.

6. Go hit some shots and prepare to be amazed.

Seriously, it helped me a lot. So I'm posting it here hoping it might help others too.

Never knew I was being held back by an inflexible left shoulder until I sat through this hour-long video. It's long, but worth every single minute.

Also, watch out for tips in the video on how to adjust your swing if certain bodyparts are weak or inflexible. They don't go into it too deeply, but it may help you understand why your body prefers to swing in a certain way instead of how the PGA Pros swing on TV and youtube.

After all that, sit back and prepare to have an epiphany.

Most welcome.

Yeah, it's cool, isn't it?

At the 24 minute mark, check out the volunteers that went onstage later and see how they struggle with a seemingly simple motion - the pelvic rotation test (to test disassociation.)

Beginning to understand why the swing is such a challenge for the typical beginner.

Very welcome.

To get more out of it, do the exercises as you watch. Pause the video if necessary. Then the explanations they offer will make a lot of sense.

Great video Lee and thanks for sharing ... Did you see how he explained the " Who's your daddy" move. Now, it gave me a better understanding on my swing beside the "D" plane.

Thank you.

wow great video v informative.

i noticed he said right knee should be stable in the backswing. my right knee is usually almost completely straight (if not completely) in the backswing.

i googled and some people say it should bend only a bit, some say it's totally ok especially if u don't have as much flexibility in the hips etc. anyone has any views on this?

wondering if i should start trying to force my right knee to stay more bent

as long as it works for you , it is ok...

Just that it will be a potential cause for swing error. If you straigthen you knee too fast then you are likely to promote a more inside swing that may not help you to square at your impact properly.

Hmm... perhaps the better response should have been: I hit the cart path.
