PostSubject: Beginner back at golf   Fri Apr 06, 2012 1:56 am

Hi all

Tried to pick up golf 2 years back by myself but overdid it and ended up injuring a finger so bad, I couldn't straighten it for 3 months. But recently I couldn't supress my interest in golf so I picked it up again, haha.

Really enjoying it but worried about old injuries flaring up and recently my hands have been aching a little but icing them after a session is helping. I am also trying to be conscious of not gripping the club so tight which is also helping. Any other tips to help this problem?

Looking forward to learning more from others on this forum. Cheers.

Mabash,

Get a "training grip" as this grip will let your fingers to sit nicely on it so that you have a good restart of your golf.

The only part of your body that get contact with the grip of the club are your 10 fingers, so is very very important to get it right now.

Cheers

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the tips and welcome. I'm currently having group lessons with a coach and it has really made a big diff, enjoying it now with a lot less pain.

Looking forward to being able to play on the course some day soon.

You can start with simple executive courses like the one in Mandai and NSRCC (Changi)
