PostSubject: Bunker shot   Sun Apr 08, 2012 11:09 am

2 weeks ago playing at NSRCC par 3 course found myself standing over my ball dunno how to play it (hole 4 i think

The green is elevated , my ball landed in the bunker infront of then geeen rolled to edge of the bunker where the grass slope steeply up to the green . Me standing in the bunker the green is way above me . I end up move my ball back in order to take pitch it up on to the green .

Is there any other way to lop the ball ?

Take a wedge (in this case smthg with at least 56 degree )
Open up the face angle then grip the club. Dont grip first then open the club.
Placing position of ball in the front, or just outside your left foot, open up your stance.
With stance open way left.and club open way to the right, you should be able to hit down about 1 inch behind the ball and let the club bounce off the sand.
"Pooock!" out comes the ball.
