Haha. I share the same exact views as the writer although his credientials justify his writings.

Comparing 'bros here' who benefitted getting their clubs fitted but everyone else has no clue what state of their game is jus makes it sound like data being plucked from thin air.

Can they chip properly? Putt? Hit pitches within 15ft 90% of the time? Drive a certain level of accuracy and distance? Hit GIRs an avg number of times? Ur guess or assumption is as good as staring at ur keyboard thinking what to type out.

The question about getting fitted have so many options, what are the priority? Here are some fitting options here,
1) length of club
2) loft of club
3) Lie angle
4) shaft flex
5) shaft torque
6) spine alignment
7) overall weight
8) swing weight
and the most important of all, Swing Fitted
And there are many other options which are not listed in here. If we have a tight budget to consider, where shall we start with? confused

IMHO, even if you are a beginner, you can benefit from getting 1) correct grip size 2) correct shaft weight

Next up when you can hit your irons a consistent distance but miss the green left/right, get fitted for lie angle.

The rest is beyond my level of golf... Smile

100% go see a fitter ... irrespective of your game ... if its a decent clubfitter he'll tell you if u need to be fitted or should go see a pro instead Very Happy

Not all fitters are so ethical.

Agree completely, absolutely get fitted. The key though is finding the right fitter and to be fitted in the right environment.
