Pls sms me your planned itinerary to my mail james_ongahhing@ yahoo.com.sg
Or contact me 94573078. I can get you a beter deal instead of you go direct to nguyenphidavu. Also suggest don't play Song Be and Vietnam golf country club . There are other better courses you should considered.

Song Be is currently undergoing renovations so I would agree that it is not as good as what it used to be. However, there are 3* 9 holes so it dose not really have a great impact.

Vietnam Golf CC has 2 * 18 holes and I find it to be very nice. Caters to every ones playing level.

What other courses would you suggest?

Hi GRians.

Need feedback from those who have golfed in HCMC.

1. Do most golf courses and hotels in HCMC accept payment only in Vietnam Dong?
2. Should I change the Vietnamese currency here in Singapore or in HCMC?

1.  All hotels / golf courses accept VND or USD
2. Change nominal sum in Singapore which is enough for you to get from Airport to Hotel than you can change the rest with a Money changer in HCMC.

A rough gauge of rates in HCMC

SGD$100 - VND1.61 mil
USD$100 - VND 2.4mil

Do note that these are the rates in the city, not the rates at the airport / bank / hotels.

Try Jeongsan Country Club - weekday promotion rate is under 50 usd . Takes 40 minutes to get there by Speedboat (extra cost 15 USD per person) . Guarantee no trafic jam ;0

Many courses now have weekday promotion around USD$50. I think that it would be good to go to Twin Dove, play 27holes free lunch. Cheers and enjoy.

Twindove is highly recommended . But you will need a car and around 60min drive to get there ;0

Ya. I booked my package via Golfasian. My other friends did all the bookings directly with the hotels, golf course, land transfers, etc. We cross checked the prices and he save about USD30.
I am too lazy to go through such hassles.
My package 5d/4n for 4 person (2 rooms) with 2x 18 holes for 3 balls, all in except air ticket = USD 1469.

if you stay in HCMC, there is Unigolf that you can book golf games with good rates. In the North-Hanoi, you can go to Phuong Dong Driving Range and book at reception with special price too. On special day at the golf course the rates are good too. The difficulty is language and transport to the golf course. Rental cars are less than USD100 per day with driver 8-10hrs. (innova or fortuner)
Thanks bro for the info. Will see how the experience go on the coming trip. May turn it to a yearly event Laughing

I going to be off to Hanoi on Wed! Hope all will turn out smooth and nice. Will share my experience when back.

Just back from a golfing trip to HCMC. Played on the Vietnam Golf and Country Club, Song Be and Long Thanh Golf Course. IMHO - Long Thanh is the best among the three.

I Brought several group to HCMC golf and strongly recommend play Twin Dove, Long Thanh and Jeongsam. Most players enjoyed these 3 courses. We are going again this early Feb and those of you keen to go in future trip, you can contact me. Our all in rate is competitive with very flexible itinerary. We also covers Hanoi and Danang agenda...

Not sure what is the market rate. I paid 300,000 Dongs to each of the caddy for the courses I played.

Hi guys. Does anybody know whether is there a golf course next to the international airport in HCM? Google map seems to show that there's one. Seems like it's not open yet??

Me and my buddies are thinking of playing a game on the Sunday morning before we leave back to SG in that afternoon. Thus, we are looking for a golf course nearest the airport.

Can anybody help?
