PostSubject: Hitting someone on course   Sun Aug 12, 2012 2:11 pm

Topic: Hitting someone after shouting "FORE"

Anybody has experience or can share about hitting others on course?

Definitely hitting someone is terrible, but what if you had shouted fore repeatedly... and a group of beginners are with a coach... and they did not react to your shout...

Who's fault isit if someone gets hit?

You?
Coach?
the victim?

Get a HCP and golf insurance, even if u are playing in Malaysia, when they dont check at all. Even if no fault of yours, they may still make a claim against you!!!

Haven't hit anyone yet, but got hit twice by the same flightmate.
Had sore calf first time and almost lost my balls the 2nd time.
Both time shouted fore but could not avoid the ball. Lol
And we weren't even betting.

Insurance is a MUST.

Prevention is better then cure.

Full Stop - if you don't have one.

i got lots of experience in this.... so much so tat everytime i go file a report for my ball hitting someone, the girls at the mbgc or kranji counter will go "hit someone again har???)

It is usually an accident but there are a few rules u need to follow:

1) Never hit the flight on the same fairway (even the share fairway one)... sure way to get ban. Wait for a while if u think u can hit them.

2) Once u think u hit someone, go over immediately... dun wait until all yr flight mates finish hitting

3) Sometimes the victim can get angry... never say "I shout fore but u nvr heard leh". Just apologies as u are not the one in pain

4) Render any assistance u can

5) ALWAYS file a report at the counter after your game, even if victim says no need. Just to be safe in case if something happens, and he needs to claim for insurance.

Hesitantly we shouted FORE n shortly we tot we heard some sort of reply to our call...! And we tot no so...unlucky or sway la as we didnt see any oncomg flight fm opp fairway. Laughing
Suddenly a grp of 3 Angmo ladies appeared in e middle of e fairway w 1 layg dwn!!!! affraid
First thing came straight into my mind was Oh shit, oh f...shit!! Rolling Eyes
Many words....was delivered to me as we got there ie: how dare you! did u shouted!! look wat ve u done! u idiot!! etc....i apologise sincerely n repeated many times. Crying or Very sad
My ball hitted her left leg! I offer her e muscle rub tat i hve brought along bt was rejected n was told to go away!!! We stopped our game n followed her to e club hse. Crying or Very sad
Filled e club hse incident & claim form n tat was e end of my 2 mths golf while awaitg e verdict n perhaps a lawyer letter! Sad
I felt veri bad since n till today, this bad experience has been printed in my dictionary. Always wait fr frt flight cleared, shout FORE be it yr lousy shot or yr buggy mate wild shot bcoz u ll never knw wats next right! Wink
Bt nothing came n my letterbox were often filled w other nonsense instead!
Then on, i seeked proper golf coachg fm Transview fr PC n Selectar fr HCP! Very Happy

Always keep extra gloves for emergency situations ... if you hit someone ... sign the glove and give it to the "victim" ... Dont understand why, but it works for Tiger every time !! Beer

Any senior Bro can advise on golf issurance. Is it like a yearly basis kind of contract (like car issurance) or is it something like a travel issurance whereby its only valid during the few days.

Tiger gave two or was it three gloves to the victims in the 3rd round of the PGA Championship in Kiawah island. Fortunately no casualty. Laughing
