One day, Bin Laden went to a fortune teller and asked her when will he die.

The fortune teller prophesied, "You will die on an American holiday."

So he asks which American holiday and she says, "It doesn’t matter. When you die, it will be an American holiday."

Ok. My wife just showed me this and i just find it too funny not to share. Some of you might have already seen it on FB but for the others. Consider this for my quota for tomorrow. Enjoy.

Review of:

"After having been told my danglies looked like an elderly Rastafarian I decided to take the plunge and buy some of this as previous shaving attempts had only been mildly successful and I nearly put my back out trying to reach the more difficult bits. Being a bit of a romantic I thought I would do the deed on the missus's birthday as a bit if a treat.

I ordered it well in advance and working in the North Sea I considered myself a bit above some of the characters writing the previous reviews and wrote them off as soft office types...Oh my fellow sufferers how wrong I was. I waited until the other half was tucked up in bed and after giving some vague hints about a special surprise I went down to the bathroom. Initially all went well and I applied the gel and stood waiting for something to happen. I didn’t have long to wait.

At first there was a gentle warmth which in a matter of seconds was replaced by an intense burning and a feeling I can only describe as like being given a barbed wire wedgie by two people intent on hitting the ceiling with my head. Religion hadn't featured much in my life until that night but I suddenly became willing to convert to any religion to stop the violent burning around the turd tunnel and what seemed like the the destruction of the meat and two veg. Struggling not to bite through my bottom lip I tried to wash the gel off in the sink and only succeeded in blocking the plughole with a mat of hair. Through the haze of tears I struggled out of the bathroom across the hall into the kitchen, by this time walking was not really possible and I crawled the final yard to the fridge in the hope of some form of cold relief. I yanked the freezer drawer out and found a tub of ice cream, toe the lid off and positioned it under me. The relief was fantastic but only temporary as it melted fairly quickly and the fiery stabbing returned. Due to the shape of the ice cream tub I hadn't managed to give the starfish any treatment and I groped around in the draw for something else as I was sure my vision was going to fail fairly soon. I grabbed a bag of what I later found out was frozen sprouts and tore it open trying to be quiet as I did so. I took a handful of them and an tried in vain to clench some between the cheeks of my arse. This was not doing the trick as some of the gel had found its way up the chutney channel and it felt like the space shuttle was running its engines behind me.

This was probably and hopefully the only time in my life I was going to wish there was a gay snowman in the kitchen which should give you some idea of the depths I was willing to sink to in order to ease the pain. The only solution my pain crazed mind could come up with was to gently ease one of the sprouts where no veg had gone before.

Unfortunately, alerted by the strange grunts coming from the kitchen the other half chose that moment to come and investigate and was greeted by the sight of me, arse in the air, strawberry ice cream dripping from my bell end pushing a sprout up my arse while muttering “ooooohhh that feels good” Understandably this was a shock to her and she let out a scream and as I hadn't heard her come in it caused an involuntary spasm of shock in myself which resulted in the sprout being ejected at quite some speed in her direction. I can understand that having a sprout fired against your leg at 11 at night in the kitchen probably wasn't the special surprise she was expecting and having to explain to the kids the next day what the strange hollow in the ice cream was didn't improve my status…so to sum it up, VEET removes hair, dignity and self-respect..."

...wipes tears.

This is one of my favourites from one of my favourite comedians...

A guy, in the US, just got a whole box of fresh hot donuts out from a donut shop drive-thru. In anticipation of the goodness of the heavenly dough goodies with the aroma hitting him in the face, this guy could not resist and starting having his thing with the donuts.

In all this excitement and amidst the foreplay with the donuts, the guy made a wrong turn into a one way street and out of the blue, a police patrol card appeared and pull him over.

The policeman walks over to his side of the car and asks, "Son, do you know why I pulled you over?"

Guy in the car gesturing to the donuts in his lap, "Because you can smell these!"

In the midst of shopping with my family in Orchard Road the other day, we decided to pop by Island Cafe for a quick lunch before getting back into action. The Cafe is ran by the TANGS Group and it located on the 4th floor of their TANGS Orchard store.

The menu features a decent selection of regional culinary signatures with a couple offerings varying off the traditional recipe. Service staff is mostly locally staffed and there is a very much 'local quality' in the service level as well. When asked to describe the dish, alot of Singlish was used and poor knowledge of the requested dish can be seen. But one thing that I noted is that staff communicated with each other quite openly across tables. This is something that you seldom get these days.

We ordered Tahu Telor, an Asian Platter, Spagetti Carbonara and a Turkey, Peach and Cranberry Sandwich to share amongst the four of us.

Looking at the menu, first thing that caught my eye was this delicious looking picture of Tahu Telor. This is something that I had religiously every weekend at an Indonesia restaurant at the old World Trade Centre Promenade. It had an effect on me back in the days. Most of us growing up hated eating anything bean-based. The mushy texture and bland taste is not exactly a very appetizing combination. But the sweet sauce, mixed with roughly crushed peanuts and coupled with the crispy edges of fried egg. Ooo. I must stay the mixture is remarkable and able to con me into taking more of these protein goodness when I was younger. Unfortunately, the Tahu Telor at Island Cafe was nothing to shout of but it is decent and not too bad. These is a missing thing in it but I cannot exactly put my finger on it.

Unforunately, this picture is taken after we cut it up. Guess we were too hungry and I have not had some for quite some time already.

The Asian Platter is typical bar chow standard.

It came with fried won tons, mini spring rolls, satay, fried chicken wings, ketupat and some Achar. Nothing is mention-worthy, save for the satay which was cooked almost to perfection but the sauce was perfect. Only thing missing from the satay? The charred edges and oily look.

Spagetti Carbonara is also very average. Veggies used to garnish the dish was browned, definitely not something you want to see in a eatery of this standard.

Presentation of the Carbonara was very impressive and that's about it

The Turkey, Peach and Cranberry Sandwich is some thing to talk about.

I ordered mine with Focaccia Bread instead of French Loaf. The Turkey Breast meat used was tender, Peach slices were from those cocktail cans but the cranberry sauce was perfect; not too sweet and complemented the whole sandwich decently. Surprisingly, fries were done a little sub-standard. You would have thought that with the industry standards established today, they would have given wedges or at least fries sprinkled with sea salt.

Ambience of Island Cafe is actually quite good with good cutlery and quiet setting for perhaps you and your good friends to sit down, chill and most probably take a break from your shopping marathon. I notice that there were 2 tables located in the balcony of the restaurant. Perhaps, it would be nicer to be at during the day but I can only imagine that it would be hot, stuffy and muggy in our Singapore weather. I can not say for sure until I try the place myself.

Definitely a good place for you to stop and recharge your batteries in the middle of your shopping-thon but not a place to just go there for the food.

Great pics. MC do you find yourself feeling really thirsty after the meal?
I recall that when I took my family there for a bite, we felt really thirsty after that. Like too much MSG / salt kinda feeling...

Nevertheless, I agree it is a good pit stop. Not a lot of people seemed to be aware of the place

pocketace, thank you.

I didn't feel so after my visit to Island Cafe. I continue my 2nd leg of shopping and only grabbed a drink when I got home maybe 4 hours later.

Kai Kai and Jia Jia walks into a restaurant and orders a meal. After eating they pulls out guns, shoots the place to the ground and runs away. Quickly the chief waiter runs after thim yelling, "HEY YOU CAN'T DO THIS!!!" The siblings turns around and yells "Yes I can. Look me up in the encyclopedia!" So, the chief waiter looks up "Panda" in the encyclopedia, and it reads,

"Panda (Ailuropoda melanoleuca, lit. "black and white cat-foot") also known as the giant panda, increasingly rare species of bear that can be found in the eastern part of Asia. It eats shoots and leaves.”

This is the milder version. The one I heard was a different scenario. Razz

Nothing beats a Malay wedding held at the kampung where vats of curry, rendang, nasi pulut, etc are cooked right in the open.......there's a lot colour, music and noise....too bad there aren't any kampungs left in SG......

The Real Master, I think this is a good read only covering part of the issue.

http://berthahenson.wordpress.com/2012/10/09/kancheong-over-amy-cheong-part-2/

I agree with the writer. True Racial Harmony is only embraced when we can make jokes about each other religions/cultures, sit down and laugh together at the end of the day.

I have yet to find many like-minded people like me so far.

For those with time to kill tonight.

Yes. He is here in Singapore. TODAY.

http://www.sistic.com.sg/portal/dt?dt.isPortletRequest=true&dt.action=process&dt.provider=PortletWindowProcessChannel&dt.windowProvider.targetPortletChannel=JSPTabContainer/sEventsCalendar/Event&dt.containerName=JSPTabContainer/sEventsCalendar&dt.windowProvider.currentChannelMode=VIEW&dt.window.portletAction=RENDER&contentCode=gi1012

THIS GUY IS DA BOMB.

A pity that I will not go tonight. This week is my daughter's exam week. Not a good idea for her to see daddy and mummy have fun when she is mugging.

Looks like I still got to buy air tickets to go catch his shows the next time.

its not that insensitive to say...chinese funeral damn noisy but if one say "those chinese aSs___e make some much noise cry father cry mother and sooner or later they will all mati. anyway 1 less dead chinese is better.....why do ppl not understand that? KNS"

i think whoever you are, its insensitive and coming from someone who works in a government linked company, its unacceptable.

i think the writer Bertha only address part of the problem...buzz what do you think?

what so much to like about your mind MC?
