It's not release yet . that the media launch today. by my guessing it'll be officially launch during barclay and they will be in the shop 1- 3 week after like 910 and 909 . that is for driver . woods and hybrid normally come in mid february. If it's like Australia and USA , you will be able to custom order from early october for the whole range

Are titleist woods forgiving or not huh? I don't like the look of my TM rbz woods, feel like changing.

I've always thought of Titleist clubs to be more player-like. Not sure if that's true. I had a 910D2 which I used for a swing or two... not bad but not to my liking.

Titleist club so far it's the least forgiving among the common brand like callaway, taylormade etc. The 910D2 I tried it with the default f3 shaft don't really like it but with a tour ad, it's great.

Sorry neighbour... My England no good, Titleist least forgiving as in most difficult to handle or play with compare to Callaway n TM?

How about comparing their so called higher range model like 910, Rarz Fit n R11S. Fit n R11S easier to handle?

Hmm... In that case, what brand of fairway woods are forgiving? Cobra? Adams?

A club cannot fix a swing flaw...if you can't hit a fairway wood well, look at your swing not the club.

IMHO it is...maybe it's the default shaft which is normally stiffer than the others brand with the J Spec...

With FW, so far i think RBZ, hawk and Cobra buffler is easier to play but I like amp best...

Yeah. Of course swing matters, but doesn't hurt to get one that's more forgiving I suppose. That's why they have things such as game improvement irons?

I think the current marketing of forgiving clubs has gotten a lot of golfers confused with all the marketing hype.

I am using a PRGR wood, distance wise its pretty long, easy to launch...but on days when i just not swinging it well, i will just keep it in the bag cause i know there's no way i can get my usual 190-200m distance from that club off the deck.

a bigger head might help with confidence(maruman woods) but if you are steep or do not have a sound swing, it will be pointless to even carry a wood for use off the deck, off the tee, theres a tad more margin for error with the ball being teed up.

imo, a 910/913 fairway wood is just about the same as a RBZ or R11 wood...fitting would help you be more consistent and get a tad more distance, but if the swing isnt even sound for fairway woods...i don't think any amount of technology can help.

alternatively, carry a 4 or 5 wood instead of a 3wood, lose a little distance but have a more reliable club in terms of distance and dispersion.

i regard 3wood to 7/8irons as advancing clubs, i want to be able to advance to x distance with these clubs to be around the green and if i hit a good shot maybe on the green, still need to depend very much on my short game to get it close to the hole.

at a course that i play often, i take out my woods probably 2times max for shots off the deck, from the tee 2-3times but nowadays i prefer to use my adams XTD hybrid to tee off as it gives me more confidence.

Oh, default shaft stiffer... How abt 910, Rarz Fit n R11S all fitted with Tour AD DI shaft... Which will be more forgiving? Any experience? Care to share?

Might be....not sure abt this, is it the head or is it the shaft fault...face wise, i like the set up slightly open or sq...not the the ulitmate close type...that one i also don't know how to play. Not sure aim which part of the club. Oh to add another that time i try the 910...I cannot be sure abt the bottom wt piece as well since I know that's changable as well

Titleist targets the aspiring to better player, that is the mid to low handicaps, and yes past iterations of their clubs demanded a sound and faster swing.

Each new generation though is more forgiving than the last. Witnesss the more forgiving D2 and D3, each specifically designed to fulfill the needs of different handicap levels.

Tried the new 913 series at the media launch today, and for someone with a slower swing speed (mid 80s) using a Yamaha driver, I find the 913 driver very playable. The driver, with the right shaft, was easy to launch, well balanced, and at impact sounded like the ball exploded off the clubface. This is the best sounding Titleist driver ever. Dispersion and launch angle was consistent for a driver that was in my hands for the first time. Dialing in to the 913 took just a few swings with no warm up.

Tried only two shafts, the Diamana + Blue 62 and Titleist Bassara W 50. The Diamana took a little more concentration to launch, which would mean too much energy sapping work for me over a round. I would not have been consistent from the back nine onwards. The Bassara though, was the star of the show for me. I like to feel the shaft unload and kick through impact, and this is exactly what the Bassara did. The driver almost swung itself. After a few more swings to get used to the driver, I definitely trusted it enough to put it in play for a full round.

The word is that the new 913 series will be out to market early November. RRP is approximately $800+ to $1000+ depending on the shafts.

It's been a long day, time to hit the sack.
