Can't understand how can golf coach allows their student to wear micro shorts, body hugging tops such as spaghetti strip tops for golf lessons.

Wearing appropriate golf attire should be covered in their lessons and enforced even at ranges.

It is okay lah .. Singapore weather sometime very hot, you know ?

As long as their body is fit enough to carry the micro short and body hugging top. If not affraid Stretcher

I had thought the worst distraction was a bunch of guys next to me talking loudly about their family members etc, till today.......

there was a lady in really tight shorts in front of my bay trying to practice the athletic posture.......

total waste of my time at the range to practice my driver! i left without getting anything out of my practice. Rolling Eyes

what's your worst distraction at the range?

The worst distraction is not a lady wearing tight shorts, but annoying golf pros who commenting on your swing.

On few occasions, when I hit a bad shot on a range (one out of 100 balls), a pro approached to me and gave "unwanted" advice.

"boss your swing is this is that...." man!! I never listened to those driving range pros.

In Indonesia, it's worse than SG.

What constitutes appropriate driving range attire is usually determined by the mgmt of the range, although the individual coach can enforce a stricter dress code, he has no authority to allow a more lenient one.

Normally driving ranges at private clubs have strict dress codes. A private club's main objective is to protect the interests of its members. Most of whom are IMHO overly caught up with etiquette and appropriateness for the sake of tradition.

A public driving range has a completely different model. The commercial aspect needs traffic, lots of it. There is also the social responsibility aspect of making golf accessible to all, and making the sport more attractive to the younger generation.

If I was running a public driving range and had the job of bringing golf to as many as possible, especially kids and juniors who might not be able to afford the game, I would try and generate as much interest in my driving range to maximise profits which can then be channeled to sponsor junior programs for kids who do not come from wealthy families. Intentionally bringing models to pose at the range would not be appropriate, but if members of the public was to dress attractively, I'll never discourage them, as long as safety is not compromised. But then again, what do I know about golf club management?

For those who prefer a conservative and traditional environment, they have the choice of buying a private club membership that promotes that type of culture.

For those that prefer looking at attractive members of the opposite sex in revealing clothing ... Head down to MBGC!!!
