Hello all,

New to this forum but have been playing golf for 12 years, mainly play in Johor as I was pull in by friends to join the club membership there. Now we have about 20 kaki play regularly over the weekends.

As suggested by my username, soon I will be in the senior golfer league. What I discover was as the age catching up, the distance get shorter despite all the new technology available, so the handicap sort of 'stablised' over the years, never able to break through barrier. Hope to learn a few tricks here and there from bro and sis now and then.

Cheers

I am member of Pulai Springs, there is where we play on the weekend. On the weekdays, we prefer to play on other JB courses, the green fees are pretty cheap, normally below S$50, of course the course condition can not be compared with Singapore, but they can be more challenging as their landscape are vast and natural.

Pulai Spring seems like a nice course to play... Maybe one of these day I can pay you a visit there and hope you are available to show me around.

Thanks in advance... Beer

Hi Jeffman88,

I am not sure whether Pulai Springs offer senior rates to guest. Let me check with them this weekend and get back to you again later.

Cheers

Hi TS,

I've been playing in JB regularly too these days, ever since picking up the game in Apr. Pulai Springs' actually one course I've not tried. Care to describe, if there's any JB courses simliar to this? I reckon Legends, Tanjong Puteri 'A' to be one of the more tough ones for me.

Pulai Springs have two 18 holes - Pulai and Melana course. Pulai course is more forgiving as it offer big fairway, and has a nice course lay out. Melana course is narrow and more challenging, you need to plan your game so as not get into trouble. There is no two courses similar to each other in JB, even you will include Singapore courses. And if you are looking for more challenge, tee off from the blue tee and you can find the games totally change. Of course provided you hold handicap below 20 or there is no flights behind chasing you. For us we prefer to play from white tee so is less taxing and can have better score and hence satisfaction. Smile

Hi Jeffman88,

Unfortunately Pulai springs does not offer special rate for senior golfer. The promotion rate for weekday is RM88 and weekend rate is RM 240+. Weekday rate is reasonably cheap, so they might think there is no need to offer senior golfer rate. BTW, members are already paying RM42 for the buggy, RM88 includes buggy and green fee. Hope you find the info useful.

Cheers
