Anyone had a go at them yet? Been struggling to find a demo or fitter that does Cleveland gear here in SG...

As far as i know there arent any demos for the classic models as Panwest brought in limited numbers. As for fitters i do not also know of any that stocks them.

However u can probably try one at isetan as i saw some stock there.

I am currently using one and i like it Very Happy.

Yours is a limited edition, and likely stolen from the Museum of Golf Memorabilia.

I'm a Cleveland guy but unfortunately it's quite hard to get your hands on stuff to try here. Im still waiting for mine. Your best bet would be Pan West

Or eBay (or other online stores). RBG had an offer on Cleveland stuff a few days ago.

Hmm.....so tis is the driver that people been raving about......the Clevie Classic!

And now there's even a 2013 black version for it! Shows that old skool classics never die!

Having had the chance to game this old-timer for 9 holess today, I can see why there have been so many rave reviews on this evergreen driver.

Got this lovely driver with a MIyazaki Kusala Black 61 stiff off the net on Monday, thought I would take it out for a spin today despite not trying it on the range and not changing the grip (grip size for me should be bigger than stock one).

So on the 2nd nine of Horizon Hills for 6 holes, I took this newbie out for on-course testing, not knowing what to expect.

Boy, was I surprised at how effortless it was to swing this club, connect, impact and let fly! Hit 4 fairways with great ease and average 220m distance!
Did not have to force the swing to launch this beauty. It is another idiot-proof driver just like the XHot which I tested last week on range.
Mid launch, decent carry and tight dispersion though would have been ideal if the roll could have been more.
But hey, 1st outing and with such results......no complaints whatsoever.

Impact was a solid twang, fast 'exit' off the face and quick launch on a mid flight.
With this combo, one do not need to hit hard at the ball......an easy swing with smooth tempo will do nicely to launch the ball to a decent distance.
For 2 holes, I tried to whack it but ended up pulling to the left. So it is definitely a driver to caress gently with and not to whack it too much.

At address, looks great and easy on the eyes, given its classic shape and muted colour.
Some would have given comments that black would have been easier on the eye......I do not deny. That's probably why the 2013 version is a black one.
But hey, really no biggie issue with the looks of this 2012 version either.
I can really like this driver!

Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Definitely recommend this driver for any beginner who wants to have relative ease in teeing off or for those seasoned beginners who may be having bad periods of driving, then this
driver could been the one to alleviate your tee-off problems, be it for good or temporary.

Really a huge thumbs up from me.

cheers

Yeah I agree with Asahi...the classic drivers r all great drivers...only problem is you need to know which suits u better. There r 3 models to choose from which makes it abit daunting to start with. All 3 models have different shafts...n I mean very different.

I m using the 270 version with a C.Kua 39S shaft. The club performs exactly as claimed...high launch + low spin..

Saw the 290 version at Isetan Scotts last month. Hopefully its still there. I got mine from ebay. A 2nd hand one should be about 1/2 price from a brand new one in our local store.

just wanna share something abt the Classic 290,
I bought a r flec stock shaft ( just too test it )

Plus side is....the shaft feels...whippy or soft but its not too whippy.

My caddie and other caddies who have tried it Loved it.

High launch, Less Spin

Down side is....sound upon impact is too silent

but overall, its a nice driver.

Asahi, i have the same kusala 9.5 on sale in gr. but i prefer the c kua shaft . My kakis tell me i am 20 meters longer. Easy. Same number of fairways hit. And i love! The headcover! Its in the bag for a long time coming, i tell you.
