I had an incident where a passenger from another car took a picture of my car after we had a situation on the road where I overtook them from the blind side before filtering out.
On top of taking a picture of my car, the filtered out as well and followed my car and from my rear view mirror I saw she was still holding up her camera.
It pissed me off and on the next light I slowed down and went behind them instead tailing them till they reached their office where I confronted what the hell was that for... and they said it was for STOMP and wanna show how bad and inconsiderate driver I was.
Seriously? is all this necessary..? Are we becoming a society where we just need to get everything justified and shamed in public with video evidence to support our claims.
Dude, u just came from a nice holiday with your family... end it nice and well too.....
I am sorry u met an asshole on the way... but what you did wasn't helping...

You know that everyone's going to frantically search STOMP for you now, right? |

There's no point in confrontation. There's more important things in life.
I can't condone threatening your family - that is wrong. However the driver may have felt threatened himself.
Everybody has bad days. |

| I dislike most taxi drivers, like a few and hated a few more.
The taxi companies know all these problems but they are not doing anything about it. Everything is done reactively. You complain, they will maybe then look into the matter. Their main goal is to make as much $ as possible with the present system.
@ Calvin - Sorry to hear abt ur encounter. It always very unpleasant and troublesome. My opinion in this case is that the taxi driver is more at fault.
My opinion & for discussion sake of photo-taking- I would like to highlight 1 thing tt is getting very common, even popular among us - that is the taking of photographs.
In the past b4 taking a photo of anyone, it is only polite to seek permission if not it is consider rude. I don't think anyone wants to hv his photo taken for no apparent reason. Nowadays many ppl take photo as ëvidence"or for fun eg..quarrels in MRT, bus etcc.. Latest case was in NY abt the man who was abt to b run over by the train. People r getting more keen in getting the perfect"" shot than doing the more impt thing like saving his life.
Many ppl out there r still not agreeable to hv his photo taken by any stranger in the street. I am one of them. If u want to take a pic, u better give me a good reason.

| Guess everyone will have their views...
My take is very simple: 1) Scenario to ponder - if a customer is waiting in the queue, over at the taxi bay in changi airport taxi bay, wanted to go from T1 to T2, can the cab driver tell u "sorry, distance too short, take another cab"...First reaction from him, rude gesture without even trying....even i mentioned i have tried and can be fit into. Again was given the no gesture. Anyway, there are certain rules that the taxi drivers have to adhere to and this was told by the LTA officer to me.
2) Took the picture and walk away without any confrontation, but he came blabbering at me and my family
3) Didnt think of reporting, was toying the idea when i took the picture. Maybe he got provoke or otherwise. He can come at me but not my family
4) So decided to let him know since he kept mentioning to report him up, i will do so.
What happen next you guys can read in the email i have forwarded to both LTA and SMRT.
Easy said than done at that situation. Haiz, good holiday than have to kena this...
Anyway, hope if any of you ever are in this situation (hopefully not), stay calm if possible, and do the necessary, as in walk away or ignore or whatever u deem proper.
Note: i didnt put upload onto stomp but wanted very though..hahaha...

| Targeting issue not the person or the job status...dont let this prevent you from taking up if u r intending to... Not sure how r you going to stop ppl from taking pictures and uploading though... Moving on, LTA & SMRT looking into this...one bad apple doesnt mean the rest are...but sadly we tend to categorize/groupings - human behaviour maybe. | Happy Feet wrote: | few comments:

| No worries, didnt take your message in any wrong way. ..and yes have to agree with you, asshole is he. I posted, and i expect different views on this and i respect it. I have chosen my actions and i have to accept whichever come my way I didnt stomp it. Submitted my case to the deemed authorities, waited almost a week, no concrete replies..again, not sure if it is coincidental or not, leave the disgression to you, posted up, and have responses from them... This is the email reply from SMRT: "Dear Calvin, We thank you for your patience and understanding on this matter and we are sorry to learn of your unpleasant experience which you had with our taxi hirer of SHB1121Y. We have investigated the matter and will be taking appropriate disciplinary action against the hirer concerned. Please be assured that your feedback is taken seriously and SMRT views good service as one of our top priorities. We have put in place guidelines to ensure that all drivers work towards service excellence. Necessary disciplinary actions will be taken against those who do not comply with our service standards. Once again, we apologise for the unpleasant experience and appreciate you highlighting the incident to us. Please accept our sincere apologies as we do our utmost to serve you better in future." | Begbie wrote: | Dun take it the wrong way....but this is just getting out of hand. I monitored stomp fo the next few days after the incident and no, they didn't post it. I guess they were more apprehensive about posting it especially now that I know exactly where their office was.
@calvinong - Im glad u are cool abt our views.. take it easy and like you said, it was a nice family holiday... so keep it that way.. dun let an asshole spoil it for u..
(Disclaimer: If you were not with your family and this shit happened to you, and after a long bad flight with terrible inflight meals and horrible stewardesses.... go for it bro.. all the way..stomp the m*&^&ker.... superb way to end a shitty day) |

| What you did also not very correct. You are trying to set trap for him to say or react badly infront of your camera. Of course his behaviour is bad but what you did is just as bad. I am sure you also dun like people to video you too. Just take another taxi since there is alot at the airport. Why want to mess up you and your family day esp when you just came back from holiday. Dun keep filing complain because you know his company is SMRT. If he know who you working for, I am sure he will complain to your boss too. You like? Just move on and use the energy to drive the golf ball better. Just my view, happy golfing. |

Sorry to say this. But u must have done something to cause this reaction from him
If u didn't. Means this guy is just a gangster
If I didn't provoke him and he do this to me.. I will file complaint..
But when he make lewd remarks to your wife and daughters.. If I'm u. I will take him to court. Cos have witness...
Cos this is outrage of modesty
And it's very barbaric |

if u are in the service industry, u need to have a certain measure of public service, basic courtesy is one of them...
if i was the cab driver, i wld show calvin how it is not possible to load all the bags in the trunk of the car.... then calvin lan lan must look for another cab
if i was calvin, i will tell the driver to show me its not possible to load all the bags....then i lan lan look for another cab
as a commuter, i expect basic courtesy shown by our cab drivers.... if u dun have it, why b in the service industry
if u choose to be in it.... then show some service
just like i tell my engineers..... i dun hired u guys to be polite, i just want u guys to b EFFICIENT n get the job DONE

| Just another nv ending story... No one can say who is right or wrong, only the jury or the judge in court can do so... Here, its only one side of the story... No one knows the other side. If this had happened into a fight, police arrive, arrest both... 99% that both will be charge under affray... That is to say... Lose lose situation... What for? Like many had said... Siam lor... |
