| Haha.. MT, you think that's crazy? Wait till I post Thaworn Wiratchant's swing. The shaft flex will make your eyes pop, I swear! I suspect he's using one of those really flexible shafts. I'll post it later tonite. |

| Notice one thing about his swing? Of all I've posted so far, Padraig is the only one who keeps his right foot on the ground pushing into his left side almost into impact. That's AMAZING! A real power move! |

| haha didn't catch that. good eye birdman! i think kenny perry also does that and his right foot doesn't come off the ground until well into his follow through.. |

| think his power come from his legs. Noticed his left leg opening up at impact. Any thoughts? |

| Nice video Ironfist. I see ur a student of the swing somewhat eh? Nientsu, not sure wat you mean by left leg opening up at impact, and do you mean Padraig or Kenny? In any case, looking at the two, it's not really a case of opening up the left leg at impact I think, more of the weight transfer effect, with the weight first moving onto the left leg and then moving from the ball of the left foot to the heel, resulting in the left front of the foot coming off the ground some. |

| birdman, thanks for helping to clarify any doubts that i had with my swing, cos that was the question i was gonna ask my pro the next time i see him.
he teaches me to swing through with my right leg anchored, but i keep seeing most pros swing with their right leg somewhat raised, so i was a little unsure.. now i know, save me the trouble of asking him this question.. haha..
my pro is tendy btw, in case anyone wants to know |

| yeah i, the penultimate hacker, agree the left foot flaring is just a byproduct of the swing and weight transfer. i don't think he intentionally does it. have you noticed some ppl (esp on tour) swing so hard and fast their entire body lifts off the ground? when you're 'off the ground' and at the same time rotating that quickly it's bound to force your left foot to flare out. unless your knee is double jointed and super flexible.. haha and no lah birdman i just watch way too many videos of golf swings on youtube. |

| Glad I managed to help MT, even if inadvertantly. I'm no pro, Tendy is, I just read some and try to digest.
I tried and got it to work briefly after reading about it, but my my swing too inconsistent to maintain it. Got other problems creeping in so turn my attention to them before I could groove this move. It's a good move for the shorter hitters seeking more power, better than taking a longer backswing that goes out of control (I should know, my backswing when bad is 360 degrees man, John Daly twice over). |

| Ironfist, you talking about early Tiger Woods is it? Version 1.0? I saw a slow mo of his swing during some tourney and his entire left side was off the ground, can see the grass on the other side, my eyes popped man! When I saw that I thought to myself, no way his body is going to hold up to that kind of power through the years. True enough, by version 3.0 got got ACL issues. |

Thats what SS posted eons ago too on a website. EE does the same.
Same as what the current REMAX Long Drive Champ Jamie Sadlowski does as well.
As long as your right foot doesn't slide in and you have no where to clear your left side but do a pirouetting move, you'll be doing it good. EDIT: Found the link. http://www.aroundhawaii.com/lifestyle/health_and_fitness/2009-01-sadlowski-footwork-for-longer-drives.html |
