whilst i agree that bishan range has lots of room for improvement - (eg quality of balls, range mats, and space between each bay), i'm actually quite happy with the newly introduced car park charges.

i think it has somewhat alleviated the carpark congestion during peak hours, where a lot of non-golfers park there and then go someplace else.

So i'm actually happy to pay $2 and not have to waste time waiting for a carpark lot. i think we have to bear in mind the fact that unlike other ranges eg. OCC, Bishan range has a special problem of having a lot of non-golfers who will abuse the parking space.

I thought weekdays from Tuesday to Fri nites after 7PM are usually almost full at OCC ground floor non-member bays. Most of the time I couldn't get a bay at the ground level after 7.30PM ...

normally before 8 should be no problem. after that have to wait but look at the member side, it's not even half full.

SCC balls are quite new and very quiet at night as well. Even got a chipping green to play.

Just in case anyone is unaware of this...

Apparently now that the ERP parking is in place, you can exchange your points for complimentary parking (2 hrs) whenever you go visit the range. Given that the stuff that you can redeem there is beyond pathetic, this might provide some use for the points.

Of course having to pay for parking there now sucks. I guess using the points to redeem for free parking makes it suck less (still sucks though!)
