- Another little bit of info..
I remember SQ gives a 50% discount on golf bag weight.
Helps me "persuade" my wife that going to the golf shops abroad is for her shopping.
Although... they do tend to chuck golf bags around at the airport. I beleive i damaged some iron shafts after a trip to taiwan.
So maybe need some extra shopping to wrap the shafts up.
Is it???. my wife book ANA tickets... does it apply too??? |

| Hey, if I intend to buy some clubs from my Jap trip, anyone can advise how do I go about bring it back? I'll be flying SQ. Do I check in as bulky items? What are the charges like? |

| What i did was to ask them for a box.
Then wrap with newspaper.
Checked in as bulky item.
No extra charge.
If you buy a golf bag, weight of the bag counts as half. No extra charge.
So stuff it with stuff and check in. Balls, shoes, wifes heels, baby formula, (if you have one) all stuff inside.
Just be sure to wrap your shafts and head. The baggage boys tend to chuck golf bags around. My 5i snapped after a overseas trip. I'd like to think I'm the incredible hulk, but in reality it probably got banged about at the airports.

Thanks. That's helpful. What do you mean by the weight of the golf bag counts as half? |

| If your golf bag weighs 30kg, they'll count it as 15kg |
