Hi All,

I am a keen golfer looking to improve my handicap (currently 23).

I have just joined Golf Republic and hope to join in some of the discussions.

Hi Nick and welcome!

Help us get to know you a bit better ...

How long have u been playing? Where do you normally practice? What made you pick up this game?

And my personal favourite question: Do you use a 4iron or a 4Hybrid?

ROFL Sorry forum joke

Hi Derek,

I have been playing golf for 15 years now. I normally practice right in front of the mirror in my room with a putter first, then I move on to iron and finally finish off the practice with either a 3w or driver. I picked up this game because I see golf as a resemblance of life where we never stop learning.

As for your personal favourite, I am sorry my longest iron is 5iron and the next in line is Hybrid #3.

It's been a while Derek, hope u r doing fine there! Happy golfing mate !!

@9points

I am fine my friend, have accepted the fact that as long as my wife is around, I am condemned to being an actual 18 hcap. I have now started to think of the golf course as Par 90 and if I shoot a 92 I am only 2 over and if I shoot a 87 I am 3 under. Makes me feel a lot happier when I play.

(on a side note, hopefully my plan to get an overseas posting or attachment for my wife will materialize and I can get enough practice and play time to become a ksls 18 hcap again Twisted Evil )

@nick ... dude, tell us more about yourself, it is not an interrogation (in case it came across that way), just thought that the questions would help guide your thoughts about what to post if you weren't sure ...
