As for the driver which was loud, I think it's the 5900. But, I thought you were talking about hybrids. Drivers are a completely different story.

TS, think u too chin-chye type, SD more fastidious in his taste......

most of us agreed Beyonce is hot, but some just cant take her ass, when u slap those peaches, just dun sound good..... hope u know wat i mean

Wah, Salty Dog! Finally getting a hybrid!

For good sound, try Callaway. They have THX systems installed in their club heads. Razz My personal favourite is the heavenwood and X model. Although I haven't hit the Diablo yet.

I'm currently using a Cobra Baffler. You can try mine if you like. It's been reshafted with a Crossfire shaft so the feel is much better.

Happy Hybrid Hunting! Cheers!

hehehe... trying out on the blue tee for par 3 and need to be able to hit 195m to be on. My 3 iron cannot go that far. Smile

It is funny about the THX installed on the callaway club. I will give it a try... as i said, i'm looking for the "pinggggggg" sound, not the dinosaur roar. Smile

I also have a cobra baffler. It is like "tock" sound when you hit it sweet. May be i should just live with it. Smile

navy hole 6??? sometimes i have to use the 3w.......if not its usually 5w for me

Mine is a 19* with diamana shaft. Now you mentioned the sound being muted, i realized that preference plays a big part. To me, a nice sound is a nice solid thud. And therefore i find that the 909H and 909D both sound great...

Oh! I remember liao! You can try the Nike Sumo2 hybrid. It has a nice crisp "daaaaang" sound. The Callaways sound like "diiiiiiing". Maybe not so "pinggggg".

The other one that I know which has THX installed might be the 2007 TaylorMade Burner Hybrid.

i went to the titleist demo day yesterday at Kappel and tried the 21 degrees hybrid. They have 2 models. One with Diamana shaft and the other one with Voodoo. The Diamana will promote higher launch and the voodoo is for low shot. I fully agree with you both are very solid hybrid. They give you a very solid feeling upon impact. However, the sound is a little muted. May be one needs to have very very very high swing speed in order to produce a very crisp "pingggggg" sound.

Wow... now you are becoming the sound expert already with "daaaang", "diiiiiing", and "pingggg".... plus THX, or Dolby 7.1 or DTS..... lol!

Now i got so many choices, don't know which to go for now. Smile

LOLOL you all talk about the sweet spot like hitting a ladies G spot Very Happy I would be my pleasure to meet you all sometime and talk nonsense

my personal favorite has always been the old school callaway big bertha and great big bertha series. They sound so metallic and smooth (even when you mess up).

For drivers, my current 07 callaway FT-i is just plain LOUD, and not in a good way either. I kid you not at the range I literally need to wear ear plugs!! everyone looking at my direction thinking wtf. But anyway, this one is loud, nasty sounding and no distance; I can try whack the ball with all my speed and might and it'll barely go past 250

hybrids - I using tourstage U3+ ViQ and I think it sounds incredible when hit on the "spot" Wink

May be the Japanese hybrid can produce the "ting" sound better, still using my Kasco power tornado hybrid, super hyten titanium I think, when hit it sweet, produce very nice ting sound. The made in Japan models are better in quality, I think tourstage may have similar characteristic, my 2 cents

SC,
How about my Maruman Hybrid, the M-Sole design, U4 23*.
Do you agree it gives nice "Ping" sound.....GREAT !!!
cheers cheers

Bro,
You are right that the Maruman M-sole is one of the nicest sounding hybrid i have ever tried. Too bad I don't seem to be able to hit the club well.... it seems to go left and right on me all the time. Are you able to get accurate with this hybrid?

Yes,
At the driving range. Can hit 180m straight.... Very Happy
Need more practice on the course, must treat it like a 5 iron.
I do top the ball often, but it saves me places like rough, mid bunkers, divet spots,
180m par 3.....etc.... sunny

Agreed.

Have the 909H and when connected properly, there's a nice 'ping' sound and a wonderful feel to it. Cheers!

I think most hybrids, when connected properly, will emit a sweet sounding "ting" sound.

U might want to try Tour Edge Exotics range, the feel & sound off the Ti cup face design is quite nice but then again you'll have to like the look of club head at address.

Review for feel & sound only cyclops

At 250m, they look at you not because of the sound, but because they saw canon flying over them Smile
