I recently switched to Srixon I701... here's my quick take on the feel thingy. Can't feel a damn diff between forged and cast.

Only thing I know is I prefer NS Pro shafts compared to TT DG.

Thanks. I'll stick with my X-20s then.

The grip change has helped me handle the irons better Smile

thanks everyone for e support abt this topic!..

after thinking, and my handicap is pretty high coz always no " stamina" to play properly to finish a round of 18holes....

i think the MP series is not suitable for me.. as its said to be for the more skilled players , with excellent ball striking...

So have narrow down to Mx200 and mx300.. wonder if anyone know the weight of the shaft of either these irons? ( steel shaft) and price?

thanks Very Happy

you can check it out at Golf House. they r e offical mizuno retailer

wait for xmas offer which they may gv some free gifts although not sure if u need that.

remember to ask for golf bag n dun hesitate to ask for a few more freebies such as boston bag, golf shirt, golf towel, golf cap etc.

just wondering if u r using steel shaft now? how old r you?

try to get their In-house custom fitter, jeff goh to help u to chose the right shaft n he can also adjust lie angle for u to suit your height.

someone told me not to look for the botak golf fitter, one of the 2 club fitters in golf house. not convenient to reveal more in case he is also in this forum!

Bro Sebas,
Really 130g leh...
http://www.truetemper.com/golf/product_info.php?cPath=1&products_id=2

I saw other models which are lighter but I dunno if golf house carry those models or not. But if you are looking for light steel shafts i think NS pro is a good choice.

Either that or just stick to the mizuno stock Exsar graphite shafts. Heard their quite good with the MXs...but then again always request for demo! Very Happy

I mean the shafts...
They have the DG 75 which weighs about 80g after trimming so should be the lightest liao..

Here's the nippon website if you need to check out their specs Very Happy

currently i am using Rifle Precision Steel Shaft at 85 grams.

95g is still too heavy for me.

recommended by my usual club fitter, Eric See fm Falcon Golf.

he is a certified mizuno club fitter.

u can chk with him if he can fit MX for u.

good thing is he uses a gauge to clock yr average speed and recommend appropriate shafts.

his shop is at Fairway Driving Range so u can hit some balls for speed analysis.

good idea.. but change the shaft. means got to get new grips..

probably abt $30 to do 1 club..

5-P,S,A= 8 clubs.

8X$30= $240..

I suggest you go to a good clubfitter if you want to change shafts because some irons heads have different weights for steel shaft and graphite shaft. You want to make sure that the swing weight isn't affected too much when you change shafts.

Also, graphite shafts doesn't necessarily equate to whippy shafts. If you have a fast swing speed, just look for something that has a stiffer flex and lower torque. There are quite a few graphite shafts with steel like torque numbers.

Again, I highly recommend that you go for a club fitting session before making any change on your golf equipment. Smile
