I don't think those are noob shafts at all. By the way you are going from ns pro to ctapers in same flex or changing flex? Cause apparently ns pro is a little soft to flex while c-tapers is the opposite.. I personally don't feel that is the case though. But flight is definitely lower.

Bro HerpDerp, with your swing speed, anything will bite, even a snooker cue ball. However, from the little I know, the type of ball you play has more effect on spin rates than shaft type for irons.

I use the pro v1s.

Yes i will be going to the stiff as well in the c tapers.
I read quite a few reviews online that ppl who were playing stiff found that R+ was better for them.. Probably fit 1 in r+ and 1 in s to try?

Im getting rates like 60/ club.. Issit considered good price?

That's a very good price, including pulling + installing and work for grips?

yea, including everything. he told me hes only charging me for the service, he did not up the price of the shafts... not too sure how that works but as long as its cheaper than the norm i guess its fine! he seems like a pretty nice guy to deal with. even allowed me to try the shaft out first, best part was he said i could take as long as i want. if i dont like it i dont have to buy it and he will reinstall the original shaft back for me.. all at a cost of 15 dollars. if i want the shaft he will less off the 15 dollars for that club..

Back from the game,
Here's a short summary of what happened:

Had a pretty okay game, shot 87. And had 2 birdies.
Chipping felt better after making some slight changes, I even had 2 approaches that we 6 feet from the hole for the birdies. Nice to see some birds again after 3 rounds of birdie drought.
Hit 9/14 fairways, and 6/18 regulations. Regulation seems to be getting better and I hope to see better results tmr.

Oh and feedback on the c taper shaft on my 7 iron : I'm extremely pleased with how it feels, and and I hit it about 160 now when I hit it sweet. Ball flight is lower, and more penetrating. I also reshafted my wedges with the kbs hi rev, which made my swing weight for the wedges a lot lighter.

I have placed the order to change the rest of my shafts to kbs c taper as the feel on it is incredible.

Hows ur short game?

100m in?
150m?

Sounds like u r bombing your irons too hard. with 7i 160m, ur PW will be ard 130m? WOW envy.

In that case u r usually left with very short wedge plays into the greens.

Is that ur weakness?

coz from if most of ur fairway 2nd shot is 100m in, ur GIR should be better.

150.m in is okay, I'm trying to improve on 100m and I got okay results today. Hopefully the changes stick and results will improve. I'm hitting p at 110, 9 at 120,8 at 135, so  with distance like 140-145 I choke down on the 7 or hit a hard 8

Bro

Speaking like a true sifu. By what time should he come back with the analysis for your view?

Too big a gap if 8 at 135m and 7 at 160m. Check your loft

The 7 iron is with kbs c taper. Once the whole set is changed I will see if the distance has changed.. If not like that you said I probably need to check the loft..

I believe main problem is not getting enough gir. And even when I do not get gir I fail to get up and down due to poor short game, some days it can be my chipping and some days it can be my putting. So I really need a lot of work for short game..

9/14 fairway but 6/18 GIR = your irons play is poor

6/18 but 87 = had your short game been better, u could have scored lower

if u have been having problems with 100m in..... then i think your wedge play needs work

your Pw is abt 110m, i dun see how Aw cant get u 90-100m consistently or 80-90m with your Sw n 70-80m with your Lw.... your distance is very similiar to most of the 80s golfers here

u need to spend at least 1-2 hr on the chipping ground to hon your short game, as mentioned earlier, if u can get at least 50% up n down, your scores will surely come down

to be a good golfer, u need to know where your strengths n weakness are.... clearly u have shown u know the aspects of the game u are lacking

PERFECT practise makes perfect, u can hit 500 balls or chip 5 hrs and comes out no better if u do not know what to fix or ingrain

keep up with your perseverance..... stay focus n stay hungry

But damn weird.... 270-290m drives but PW only 110m. Something is very wrong.

I agreed with Duffy ... Those long hitters we knew will probably use a 56 wedge to get 110m ...

those irons are for accuracy not distance. no one will be amazed by a 150m PW.

Another reason why, is most people play 44-45* PW. His is 47*.
