| Hey folks,
I know that there are alot of factors that affect how far you hit the ball, but thought i would gather some info just for comparison. Hopefully can get a comprehensive list with so many golfers on this forum.
Swing speed will be your driver swing speed, in mph. If not sure just say N/A. Driver distance refers to your average distance carry/total. Iron distance refers to your average 7 iron distance, all in meters.
Results still very consistent, in terms of the gap between driver and 7 iron. What we're starting to see now are people who swing slower but get same distance as some with higher swing speed..
Summary so far.. 19 Nov, 1130pm.
Swing speed, driver, 7-iron 1) NA, 180, 125 2) NA, 180/??, 125 3) 93, 180, 125 4) 95, 200, 130 5) 87, 200, 140 6) 86.5, 210, 135 7) 95, 210, 135 8) 97, 210/220, 135 9) 97, 210, 140 10) 100, 230-240, 140 11) 130, 274, 161
Keep them coming!

| Birdman, damn KNS la, disturb Paul's thread. Frankly, I dun think the demographics and characteristics of a typical Sg golfers will allow them to know all those figures. Having fitted clubs, albeit a growing trend among golfers, is still quite new to us. You can see it from the questions posted here asking abt flex and stuff still. Unless Eric will like to start the ball rolling compiling a list of those who have been on his Trackman, the authenticity of the postings from all over will be in question anyway. _________________ Stay Thirsty My Friends...

| Sorry la Rex, forgot about the hijack thingy, couldn't resist a guy joke. Agree with S70B though, not all of us are as fortunate as he is, so unless we get on the Trackman (as those at BFG like to say, Trackman never lies!), which is a very humbling experience, most of the driver distances here will be guess-timations. The more experienced should be quite spot on for the iron distances probably, esp with the use of rangefinders. |

| SS You of all people shd know that the 1st rule of golf instruction is to relax on your grip. If I remember what I read from David Leadbetter, Its akin to 'holding a live bird in your hand'. _________________ Stay Thirsty My Friends...

| There is the other which says it's like gripping a tube of open toothpaste in your hands. U don't want to be squeezing any of the white stuff out.
The "live bird" analogy might not work for women, after all, how many women have actually held a live bird in their hands?
Come to think of it...... |
