PostSubject: SC's Swing Analysis by RSC   Mon Nov 23, 2009 3:50 pm

SC asked me to do a video of his swing analysis so here it is.

There is more to a golf swing than just the impact and extension on the follow thru. The back view of the swing needs to be considered as this will show the swing plane and club face angle which ultimately effects the direction of the shot.

SC has a common fault I call Arm Rolling. At the carnival on the weekend out of the 37 swing analysis I conducted, 33 golfers had this similar problem. It is caused by the arms being too straight and too stiff and makes it near impossible to get the club moving on the correct plane.
It once again highlights the importance of a good set up position to produce a solid golf swing

Hope this analysis helps you all to improve your golf.

Remember the FREE swing analysis is available to all GR members.

Excuse the husky voice, I lost it trying to talk over the very loud MC at the carnival

I also had this problem until RSC corrected my mistake with the arms. Also the body now feel more relax in the swing. Getting used to the set up was strange at the start but now very easy

Thanks RSC, it was a valuable session to understand my swing faults, very revealing when compared to model swings of Rod Pampling and even Ben Hogan, visually I have a good idea of what to correct, will put some hopefully productive practice and change faults that have ingrained in me for years.

Also interesting to see Ben Hogan swing from that angle yesterday, very revealing on the plane that he was describing in his book, is it possible to upload Ben Hogan’s swing, I observed that the plane was similar if not identical to Rod Pampling’s swing.

If it was such a common fault (33/37= 90%) out of the analysis candidates, maybe I can gather a few to initiate a clinic with Paul, dedicated to address this fundamental swing problem.

Please insert your name if you are keen:

1. SC
2.
3.
4.

Time: 5 Dec 09 Sat 3-5 pm
Fees: As in Paul’s series of clinic in the other post

The above just my proposal, subject to Paul’s agreement.

No problem SC. If there are minimum 4, I can kick off the clinic. I will also upload some Hogan videos shortly. Gary Edwin modeled the RSS off Ben Hogan and many of the positions in the swing are the same.

Some Ben Hogan vs Pampling Images.

Arguably Hogan was the greatest ball striker ever to play the game

No problem SC. Thanks for the offer but I just resign my second package of 1 to 1 already. Me slow learner and need the full hour to myself. The first 10 lessons I seen big improvements now I am greedy and want to get under 85 consistently. I started on 100+ Paul is the man to help your quest for a good swing
