no wonder these few days in dong guan, i feel that my eyebrow is twitching more than some other part of my body which has been extremely active here.

u guys have been using my name, talking about me, etc etc etc.

sigh... in future, i think i better put some intellectual property rights or copyright on my name, so that i can threaten legal action if someone misuses or abuses my name... i have no choice but to do this as the eyebrow twitching is extremely distracting... especially when you are trying to use your eyes to look at some crucial parts and components in the "factories" here...

anyway, you guys can use me for example, can use my event for example etc. i don't mind.. but the crucial discussion here is, DO YOU MISS TOONSHOUSE. lets not go off-topic and start dropping my name or my incident with redbull like an atomic bomb......... at the end of the day, it was my fault, and i hope many people learnt something about this forum from this incident, be it positive or otherwise.

as for phone call, i definitely preferred that MUAR CHEE called me instead of SUNNY. why? because i love muar chee so much... in fact, i'm missing him so much in dong guan, i had to go and make a mask of his face.... i even consulted ian poulter how he made the headcover with his face as i wanted to make one with MUAR chee's face on it.. but ian poulter told me "NO STOCK"

sigh... MC, seems like you are destined to be "NO STOCKED" forever....

anyway, where got enmity between members... who here don't like the people in 1800 please stand up like a man and say! then we can send u guys for some counselling and drinking sessions so that u all will solve your enmity and we can invite uncle lau back cos he will not be causing any more problems, but instead, be sowing goodwill.... which was his original intention anyway.

anyway muar chee, although i may sound sarcastic, u know my true feelings towards u... i have been trying to butter "THE MAN" up and telling him to keep some stock for u in future... so far, i had to light 82 sticks of cigarettes, pour 3925 cups of tea, carry his bag 3456 times and also give him shoulder massage... but he still tell me he considering about your "stock"......

anyway, all other people, no need to be so sensitive lah. at the end of the day, life still goes on, whether or not this forum is active, not active, restrained, unrestrained, knowledgeable, unknowledgeable, coloured nicks or black nicks... just take a chill pill and everything will be fine....

Well said... no wonder pom luk teng mak mak

i have never said you flamed charity. And that is the whole redbull2 saga. I have no idea why MT did that but I trust that it is out of mischief and boredom rather than malice which is why i called it bad taste rather than malice.

the person that actually asked to step in for tgm is actually shorthitter as tgm was his colleague at fairway club and he didn't wish to see a fellow professional being attacked personally.

We have no problem with objective posts such as ssquirrel's lines and questions which are still in the forum if you do a search for that.

finally we are not worried about poaching. We wish to make this forum relevant so that users would stay. There had been forums in the past that died without competition. The key is to stay relevant and focussed. If we are not, even without any competition, the forum would fail.

Finally, GR is non-profit and non-commercial and all the running expenses are paid for by us. We do not charge any vendors or any brands for participating in the forum and we intend to keep it that way.

Sunny,

I read few times and I agree with shotah & MT, what did he do wrong? Is it conflict between the members or mods? I felt it as more a mods conflict. In this case, felt that the mods shifting line drawn and member are the ones forced to take sides as a result. It isn't it is a preventive risk that was taken and not 6 mod criteria listed.

Again, lighter touch please....

Sometimes i can't help but thinking otherwise if you say that its not commercialised... remember the TGM episode dear moderators? you guys say we (or should i say I because i was 25 in this issue) flaming a certain person... then you guys started defending him afraid that a person who is not a certified pro, who hardly plays even or under par in his home club and come here educate others the wrong things. What did we do wrong then by questioning his postings? Did we do that to other pros who have the necessary credentials? Then somebody posted the picture of the swing and then you guys got all excited and started deleting stuff... I remember one moderator was chatting with me and then once he see that certain pro post, ask me quick quick, he posted bullshit again. Should ask him where he got his credentials from. Now why was the moderators so defensive, were they worried that the people from the TGM side pull off from the forum or they worried that they wouldn't support their charity.

Then we flame charity? Who actually kick off the whole charity thingy? was it GR??? no, it was a ikasu vs prototype game. 16 players got together, have a game, 18 hole, lunch then another bro ask if we want to donate.... so we donate without even asking to who.... try that on your regular malaysia games moderators.

I feel that the moderators or the moderator is always afraid that people will jump ship. Trying to prevent people from joining games that may involve people from other forum. Protecting the GR members??? Or protecting your backyard??? Please always remember, Poaching will not work when there are no temptations

its always refreshing to hear someone say it like it is. that's what i like about shotah. no BS, just straight to the point facts and analysis. in fact, i also kena from shotah a few times, but end of the day, it is facts.

1. TGM issue, i learnt from TGM before, i did not see anything wrong with people's posting, since it is an open forum and what people was saying was just facts. and the lines and diagram all were from video.

2. (typed some stuff abt charity game but better not say.)

wah, now at least this thread quite interesting...

dear khokar,

some members do have conflict with their mods and their mods were joining the game fyi and i have members who told me that they didn't know until they checked as UL did not put up the entire namelist of participants in our forum.

That was why we had to inform UL and unfortunately you know the rest.

what is the meaning of pom luk teng mak mak? i am sorry, kunnasak has gone back to thailand and i have got no translator with me at the moment.

oops, let me rephrase that. i got no THAI translator with me at the moment.

anyway sunny, u did not call it bad taste, but rather, u called it UNETHICAL. i have actually did a module in philosophy in the past, so i struggle to comprehend the definition of ethics.

i don't think issue is whether or not there is commercial, or who pays for running of forum. i think people mean commercialised in the sense that .... oh nevermind, why am i bothering explaining all these with my limited intelligence. u guys know better... i am but a mere plebian...

Actually... again no malice... the definition of commercial is very wide... it may mean alot of things... including subsidizing of merchandise... not necessary monetary wise only... perhaps, thats why some forum members feel that GR is commercial...

Dsiclaimer: I have never tot that GR is commercial or hinted that it is. I am just thinking out of the box and trying to understand why some forum member think that GR is commercial.

MT,

then you must have bad memory. Reread the posts again.

exact words cut and pasted for you.

"Making a mockery out of something for charity is tasteless. Personal attacks behind a fake user is cowardy. Imposing as someone who had just settled his problems ptely and causing him distress is inconsiderate."

Nothing is mentioned about ethics. Wink

no worries. I do not think that you would feel that we are a commercial forum as well.

I do agree that there are some heresays on that issue but I guess it is up to Laguna to investigate if they wish.

at that moment in time, shorthitter was willing to vouch for his credential and he is legally allowed to teach at fairway club which makes him a pro.

ITs not about who vouching for his credentials lah.... its about his ethics and doing something that is not right. like teaching illegally... i know you will reply that its laguna problem. So if someone is selling fake stuff in this forum should we wait for someone to verify it first or should the moderators step in???

bro shotah, don't everything ask the mods to do lah, they are doing it out of goodwill... FOC...

siaw8, it is not a matter of how many positions left to perform... the question is.. how many i have invented... i always believe in leaving a place in a better condition than when i found it...

This Missing Toonshouse tread had lead to expression of unhappiness of some members have with the mods here. Or trying to influence more people to share their same unhappiness?

this forum is free to share your feeling, though it nothing wrong, but can we do it in a more tactical way, instead out pointing your finger direct into your unlike face in the public. Do it if only one can accept his boss/wife/children pointing their mistake in front of the public loudly.

It much easy to just delete or lock this thread as its somehow become personal attack. The mods here still trying their best to explain and wish to ease your unhappiness.

IT is also nothing wrong to stop members here trying to use this platform to draw our members to another forum. That person should know that it is not ethical to do so and should be sorry for what he had done. There is nothing so great about this man if he still dont know what he is trying to do is actually not accepted. Will only miss him if i am one too.

This forum is certainly a baby, so it require unselfish, dedicated and commited parents to take care. Certain message is just unsuitable here, be a responsible adult and care for this baby. After all, do you enjoy the presents of this baby?

Shotah:

If there is substantial and concrete proof we would take action.

Likewise, the mods cannot step in based on hearsays that the clubs are fake. We are not police nor experts in this area.
