If you are looking to adjust loft on your driver, your current 913d2 can adjust loft with the wrench. There is no need to buy another driver.

IMO, Med-high is good launch trajectory, unless your angle of attack is negative (meaning you are hitting down on the ball and thus causing the ball trajectory to fly steeply high up and downwards). This will cause you to lose distance.

If you want a lower trajectory, you can perhaps try changing a shaft to bring it down.

I have tried the D3, it is a player's driver. It is lower spinning and is deeper in face, great for players to shape ball flight. Im just looking for it to go straight.

My conclusion is the D3 is definitely not suitable for a lousy player like myself. I will second the d2 for a weekend hacker or lousy player like myself. Smile

D2 to D3 does not mean you'll get lower trajectory. Same thing also from 10.5 to 9.5. See a fitter maybe a shaft change would help, maybe a coach would help. Btw what's wrong with high trajectory? If u see all the pros like Ernie Els, Phil Mickelson all their trajectory very high yet their distance awesome. As long as your launch angle is high enough it should be good. TM fitter told me before at a demo, high is ok as long as the ball don't balloon.

Here's a few video of the swings, look at the all are having high launch angles.

Yes that's the game now that's why the shaft play a bigger part now.

To me, the big difference is their appearance at address... If you like the pear-shaped D3, then go for it... As for the loft, you can adjust down 0.75* and see if it makes any difference...

Happy Ho'ing...

Hmmm , thanks guys for your advise . Really appreciated . Because there's 1 time when I was at range , I saw this ang mo , kaoz his trajectory was like a bullet travelling with gradient . If theres no net , I believe the ball can travel even further and he was using D3 . He told me , the centroid of D3 is better and friendly compare to D2 so it can help you swing faster without losing your balance .

When he mean swing fast enough, mean club head speed not just swing.... Very Happy

I switched from D2 to D3 simply because the D2's head is too big for my liking.
And I get better distance from it than the D2.

It's up to personal preference.

Look at WITB of the Sony Open winner.

http://www.golfwrx.com/player-profile/?player=2680&witb=%2F104872%2Fjimmy-walker-witb%2F

he's using a D2 also.

Same with PGA champion Jason Dufner

I have learned the hard way... and my suggestion to you is go to a fitter. Put u under flight scope can tell a lot more of your swing. Buying equipment that suit you is better than trial and error and waste $$.

Either that, look out for Demo days... then demo until song.

I bet the ang moh can also hit the net with other drivers in the market Very Happy

I have bought quite a few drivers in the past. The longest for me is the Japanese clubs like Yamaha and Honma. I came to the conclusion that the reason is in the shaft. Lighter, longer & softer flex shafts give me longer distances. But my 913D2 gives me better consistency in the field, thus will be keeping it in the time being...

For my next driver, I will buy just the driver head, go to a club fitter and fit a shaft that really suits my swing...

I think his mind is already made up, guys

Let him experiment, who knows it make work for him. It's part of a golfer's journey! Twisted Evil

One plus point is he may sell his D2 cheaply here at market place to fund his D3
Isn't that great for everyone? cheers  cheers

Yes that's the game now that's why the shaft play a bigger part now.

Now power hitters like Dustin Johnson and Justin Rose using 10.5 deg loft respectively on their TM SLDR drivers ... Sergio Garcia is using a 9.5 deg TM SLDR driver ...

I personally adjusted my Stage II driver loft to 10.5 deg ... Laughing
