PostSubject: Honda LPGA Thailand Preview & Pairings   Tue Feb 18, 2014 1:49 pm

The LPGA tour moves to Thailand this week for the playing of the Honda LPGA Thailand.

Many of you may remember the startling conclusion of this tournament in 2013.

Ariya Jutanugarn had a two stroke lead going to the final hole, and triple bogeyed the par five 18th.

Inbee Park who had already completed her round, would be the beneficiary of Ariya's misfortune and take home the winner's check.

Yani Tseng was the winner of this event in 2011 and 2012. She also played well in 2013 finishing in 3rd place, just 2 shots back of the eventual winner.

This will be tournament # 3 of 32 tournaments on the 2014 LPGA schedule.

Here are the key details:

Weather's been hot over here!

But players hve been working hard still.

Tourney is open to anyone who can handle the winds well over here and the really slick greens!
Darn! It is even faster than last year!!!

Anna Nordqvist seems to play really well with her new TaylorMade metalwoods and irons.

So Anna Nordqvist won

What is interesting for me is Yanni Tseng

A top ten for her.

Hopefully will see her comeback

Some insider on Yanni.....she's more keen to tinker with her clubs now.

She tried a new X2Hot 18 degree hybrid on steelfibre I80 on Tue during practice round.
Came back on Wed.....said it was too long and straight. Requested from the Callaway Tour Rep for a 20 degree......got it and reshafted the same shaft on it.

Not say it is the hybrid that's the main reason but she is opening up to the idea of new clubs which may help her game.
