Hi, anyone play in Bintan laterly? If a group of kakis want to play the three courses, can we catch up a ferry back to Sin after two rounds in the day?

Thanks.

Possible if you take 1st ferry out.....play 'ready golf' and dun take too long for lunch and take last ferry back.

Done it before. And dun really feel rushed.

Shouldn't be a problem for 2 x 18 games. First ferry in , should complete both games before 6 pm. However, game not cheap, actually everything pretty expensive over in Bintan. The condition not too good due to extreme dry season lately, just spent 3 days 2 nights last weekend.

Why? 2, 3 X 18 games in 1 day? They are not closing anytime soon, are they? What's the hurry? Free game vouchers expiring??  Wouldn't it be better to enjoy your game  than to try & break some personal "record"? Golf's meant to be enjoyed, not rushed......

if u stay overnight, more than enough time for 3 rounds on 3 courses

1st day u can play 27, 18+9, maybe Ria?
second day u can play 36, 2x18 bintan lagoon

but bintan is indeed expensive
last trip, 2 beers, 4 pocari, 2 mineral water plus ice box cost about $60

Fast Green's post was asking whether it's possible to play 2X18 & return by the same day....... Bintan Lagoon had a promotion; 2 days 1 nite, jnlimited golf on 2nd day. Not sure if promotion is still on..... Ria Bintan owned  by Keppel; most prices based on S' pore range unlike Batam.

i dont think fastgreen was asking that
he mentioned 3 courses...

maybe i read fastgreen wrongly...(happens on the course as well)

2x18 is easily done if u tee off early morning on 2nd day. return ferry from bintan should be 5+pm

Think you all are correct:) the kakis will go there around noon and play one round. Rest and do two rounds the next day, prefer to come back to Sin. But heard it's tight to catch up with the ferry back. The last one seems to be around 8pm, so looks like possible. Was just asking if any of you had the experience. Yeah it's pricy but those three courses are higher grade.

I've just played 3x9 holes in Ria Bintan  2 weeks ago, on weekday, taking 9:10 am ferry, and finished 27 holes before 4:30pm, took 8pm ferry back. 4 balls.

Including 1 hour lunch break.

So it should not be a problem.

Another group played 3 balls, skipped lunch, and they played 27 holes also, 9:10am ferry, and came back by 5pm ferry.

So you are actually saying in one day can only finish 27 holes, not 36? We'll have 4-ball and need lunch.

Hi FG, You wanna play 3 courses. I presume this involves one overnight stay cos there is no way to do 3 courses in one day. If this is so, on day one i.e arrival day, you should be able to do 27 holes. On day 2, since you are already in Bintan and therefore can commence at first light, you should be able to finish 36 holes including stopping for lunch. This is subject to no rain delay, slow flights in front of you and your group playing at a good pace. Cheers!

There are only 27 holes in Ria Bintan, unless you are talking about Bintan Lagoon where you have 2 courses - J Nicklaus and IB Finch, each is 18 holes.

Yes I think you can finish 36 holes, with quick lunch. I have done that too playing in Ria Bintan, and Bintan Lagoon. Bintan Lagoon is usually not crowded on weekdays so very seldom you get traffic jam, and most of the time you can play through very quickly.

So you can play Ria Bintan 27 holes first day, stay overnight, tee off first  18-holes next morning at Bintan Lagoon say 7:30am, finish by 12, have lunch, tee off 1:30pm at the other 18 holes, and finish by 6pm, and still have 1 hour shower to catch the 8pm ferry.

Played both courses in Bintan Lagoon over the weekend.

The Jack Nicklaus course was scenic and in good condition. The Ian Baker course was more challenging in terms of terrain, rough was thick and longer than normal making it more challenging.

Overall was a good stay and play with the family.
