PostSubject: SG courses open to visitors with/without HCP   Wed May 28, 2014 5:16 pm

I need to arrange for a golf game on 13th Jun for my customers. All 4 of them are foreigners working in Singapore and not all of them have valid handicap.

Need help from you guys on what are the courses available for non-members and without valid handicap. Also would be good to know if we are able to make booking now.

TIA

I think normally on weekdays it not an issue. Weekends will be a problem.

Yup, MBGC is the only one i can think of. Orchid can only book 2 days in advance

It's on a Friday noon... so not sure if it will be crowded...

Do MBGC still rush golfers?

Keppel allows but booking only start on monday... JCC having an event that day....

would the rest of the course allow a flight of all visitors?

If your customers are able to pass the swing tests and can play at a pace that will not unduly hold up those playing behind, then MBGC is worth considering. But if your priority is to play without fear of being "chased", then you might want to consider playing in JB courses (Legends, Palm Villa, Orchard, Tanjung Puteri) as these are usually less crowded.

I have entertained quite a lot of overseas guests.. Really depends on the skill level of your clients..  Honestly, if they are 100s players, I would highly recommend JB or even Batam.. Bring them for a nice lunch there, have a relaxed golf with caddies, maybe follow up by some massage and good and cheap dinner.. I promise you, they'll be your buddies after that and it'll remain in their memory for a long time...

If play in Singapore, not only they'll be stressed, you will also be very stressed cos you'll be busy looking after them and worse, picking up their clubs for them.. End of the day, everybody feels lousy, stressed and "what an awful afternoon with weesern!"

 cheers

understand your point, that's why MBGC is the last choice... already check horizon hills but course not available.. and one of them requires a visa... all 4 of them are foreigners.

looks like not much of a choice for me...

Fully agree with chien. Cant play a relaxing game in sg if you are slow.

You may want to buy the next flight behind you and literally buy more time!

I am sure there no lack of golfer here who will help you fill up the buffer flight.

Just an idea...

Since the weather is so unpredictable and it's such a pain doing it here. . Why don't you bring everybody to a golf simulation studio,  get more beer, food and call along a few nice ladies? ?

I'll join you too if that happens !!  cheers

'Like' chien comment.

Foreigner will not suits our SG cse pace and also now with our own locals getting impatient and firing warning shots while u in the fairway of P4... Best bet for a happy ending still batam or JB.

I've played at MBGC on weekdays and on weekends with my Japanese counterparts. Seems like on Sunday they r more relax (don't really push you to speed up unless flights are really held back).  Not sure why, maybe it's less crowded on Sundays.
